Information ❗ Processors and cultivators no longer give a crap about medical patients
I have COPD and consequently, not a big smoker. I use edibles to treat CPTSD. It's a part of my healing.
We've learned in the last few days that many processors/ growers in Ohio invested in VR (which, given my CPTSD and what VR did to Acton with that commercial has made me physically sick for the last week) AND they supported SB 56 legislation bullshit "to protect the children" by lowering THC in all edibles for Rec users to 100 mgs a package, 10 mgs a serving.
SB 56 is "supposed" to allow registered medical marijuana patients to have access to higher THC limits in edibles, 55 mgs per dose if I remember correctly. But you can't buy what they don't make anymore.
Now they're coming for the very meds that help me live through this awful time.
It appears that all processors of edibles in the state of Ohio tooled down their products to match Rec requirements. There is no "medical tier" of edibles to buy. Even though the law allows it. No more 25 mg Certified 2 oz shots. And prices have stayed the same or gone up! For 10 mgs of nano-emulsified THC! Wellfield Springs sodas, same. I'm gobsmacked.
I looked at the Certified dispo site in Columbus just now. The only truly high dose options left are capsules and they've just never worked well for me. There's also no indication they'll even continue to be produced! And I have sticker shock! I am disabled and qualify as "indigent". 😱.
This is a massive "FUCK YOU" to medical patients. Having been one for over 4 years now, we've already put up with a lot of shit. I honestly don't think I'll spend another dime in a dispensary again. To any owners reading this, like Certified (who both supported VR AND stopped making the only product I came to your store for), you've lost a very loyal customer forever. I'm sure I'm not the only one.
