Help!

Looking for an efficient vented propane stove/fireplace-prefer one that looks like a burning fireplace, not just an eye sore- for a 1400 sq foot home that can be used during power outages in northern maine?

There are many options. Finding a unit properly (safely) vented outside and not requiring electricity narrows the field considerably. Others will no doubt have good suggestions. A bit of unrequested advice. When off grid, far from rescue and or service/support, prioritize functionality and durability over aesthetic considerations. You might find the eyesores the most durable, safe, and fuel efficient. For example consider the Williams brand of direct vent, non electric furnaces. They are designed for use in commercial spaces. They are textbook eyesores that will last decades.

I have a propane fire place that is capable of heating the house and does not require electricity.
I use it as a back up for my in-floor radiant heat boiler, which does require electricity to operate.
It looks nice with flames and vents through the ceiling.
