Overall I like the looks of the root beer SJ, but am wondering whether the gap in between the rubber and the frame on the second picture is a manufacturing defect? This gap exists only the LHS.

Saw these in a YouTube video, not sure what frame color this is? Are these the Radars in Sapphire? Color looks different online?

I’ve always liked a good brown pair of sunglasses. I got the SJ 99 x CJ but didn’t realize how dark the lenses would be. Also not a huge fan of mirrored lenses especially for like more everyday wear with my style. Ended up grabbing a Muzm Rootbeer SJ 99 and tried swapping the lenses around.

Thoughts? I kinda like the Travis ones with the dark/non mirrored lenses better.

Stopped by the HQ store earlier today but they were all sold out of this color(sold out launch day). Only had rootbeers left. Santa Monica had all 3 colors in stock so I picked up the clear. One black pair left at that location.

Bought this 99 Straight jackets (I think Black Chrome Ice iridium) for 30 bucks.

The fmj coating was pealing so I removed the excess and cleaned the frame.

Any idea on how to restore them or remove the remaining coating? Should I leave them like this?

I saw these sunglasses in a video and have been looking everywhere for them since, might be a custom pair but they were in store within the last year if that helps at all.

Found these half buried on the sand after storms, impressed that the legs spring are still fully fucntional, not rust at all!!! Crazy!

Bought this juliet polished g30 first gen for 180 usd, unfortunately it came without the box, and blue iridium lenses instead of the g30s.

tl;dr - I'm looking for Oakley frames that stay on my face.

Seems like it would be easy enough, but Oakley design, the nature of my daily activities, and my own stupid biology make it hard.

My job is indoor and outdoor and can be pretty physically active. I often go rooting through everything from light woods, residential neighborhoods, to a variety of buildings. I sweat at the mere mention of physical exertion. Add to that the skin on my face and scalp is annoyingly oily. I'm wiping excess oil off my current nose piece and ear socks at least once an hour.

I'm currently in Marshalls, mistakenly thinking the rubber coated arms would hold on to my head. There are times when I lean over and they just slide off my face. I was in Hex Jectors, which I really like, but they're slippy, too.

I don't want anything ridiculous; I do have to remain somewhat professional for work. I'd prefer traditional, adjustable nose pads, rather than the fixed ones that are one with the frames.

Does anyone have a suggestion, or am I looking for the Goldilocks frame?

I learned an expensive lesson on sunglasses on the water. I was kayaking and a mosquito buzzed by my ear, and I swatted at it, knocking my glasses, right off my hat. I wasn't quick enough with the net and lost the glasses.

I have already ordered new ones but my question is, what is the best retention system for my M2 XL frame sunglasses? I would prefer something that's easy to take on and off because I don't want the loop on them 24/7.
