Merhaba,

I mean I wish them all a big defeat in December. But still I find their internal struggles funny and would love to hear some insider information and rumours
The two people with the highest votes -- Hasipoglu and Sucuoglu -- are exactly the two that Turkey rejected as minister and prime minister. Is this like little common UBP member's expression of rebellion against Turkey?
Is this a sign that Üstel will be ousted soon?
What about Öztürkler and the others who demand recount and the guy who resigned -- are they just offended and hurt or is there more behind?

Hi everyone,
I graduated from a university in North Cyprus (TRNC) this summer. I applied online for the one-time graduate residence permit in early October, and the portal has been stuck at 60% for over two weeks. The police haven’t forwarded my file to the Immigration Department yet. Both offices told me I just have to wait.
The problem: I have an upcoming appointment at the German Consulate in Istanbul for my student visa (Master’s in Germany). I need a Turkish visa to get there, and the Turkish visa centre (VOYA) only accepts applications with a valid TRNC residence permit.
My questions:
1)Has anyone gotten a Turkish visa while their TRNC permit was still pending? What documents did you show?
2)Is there any legal or official way to speed up a residence permit that’s stuck at the police stage?
3)How long did your graduate permit take from application to approval?
Any tips for German student visa appointments in Istanbul for people coming from North Cyprus?

Hi,
Had a great time in your beautiful part of the island!!
I forgot a digital device item at a hotel in Famagusto and wonder how to best ship it to a hotel in Istanbul before I leave turkey.
DHL doesn’t like that I don’t have a Turkish number.
In the past I have just issued a prepaid label over the internet but it seems that is harder than I thought.
Please help

Hi everyone!
I’m looking for a woman (18+) who’d be interested in taking part in a sensual photography shoot in Kyrenia. It can be lingerie or nude, depending on what you’re comfortable with.
It’s a portfolio-building project, so there’s no charge, and you’ll receive 60 edited photos. Faces won’t be shown in any photos shared on social media.
If you’re curious or want to know more, feel free to message me! 😊

Exact destination can still be discussed. Either in the mountains or coastal areas in Karpaz. I'm starting from Famagusta, three people can come with me in the car. Or if you have your own car you can come independently.

Hey everyone,
I’m currently planning some logistics around the Girne area (might be moving houses soon and traveling back home for a few months), and I’m struggling to find any proper, professional self-storage facilities in the North.
Does anyone know if there is a reliable service where you can rent a small, secure private container space (like a 10ft unit) to store furniture and household items? Most of what I see online seems to be based in the South (Limasol/Larnaca).
If nothing exists, how do people usually handle this here? Do you just rent a whole flat or dump stuff at a friend's place?
Also, if an independent secure container storage space opened up in Girne for around £100 a month, would anyone else here actually use it, or am I the only one facing this space issue?
Thanks in advance for any leads or advice!

The e-visa system is out at https://kktc-evize.gov.ct.tr/en and of course not tested against possible use cases. What would you even expect from a banana state. Even though testing is much much easier these days with AI.
It's nowhere written on the webpage which countries need e-visa and which not.
It's intended so far for Armenia, Syria and Nigeria, but surely many other uninformed tourists will come to this website as well, for example through google search results. If you try the system for nationalities such as German, it won't tell you that you don't actually need a visa: -- instead it will tell you to go to a "consulate".
Surely such confusion will help tourism in North Cyprus.
Remark: No, it's not about the 123456 passport number for testing. I also tested against real passport numbers.

I have been convicted of public drunkeness recently in Nicosia.
I served 24H in jailtime and I have been released and allowed to cross the border (I live in South Nicosia)
For now I have not be convocated to court although I would like to know which lawyer to refer to avoid extended jail time or excessive fine

Hello everyone,
I am considering pursuing a Master's degree in Chemistry (with a thesis) at EMU in Northern Cyprus. My ultimate goal is to use this degree as a stepping stone to pursue a PhD in Europe (specifically in countries like Austria or Germany).
Before making my final decision, I would love to get some insights into the actual research environment at EMU. Specifically, I have questions:
Diploma recognition and EU admission. Has anyone run into any issues with this?
Publication and conference opportunities:
How realistic is it for a Master's student to publish a research paper or present at an academic conference while completing their thesis at EMU?
Laboratory facilities:
To what extent do graduate students have independent, hands-on access to the necessary laboratory equipment for polymer synthesis and characterization?
Research supervision:
What is the current landscape for research supervisors in the polymer chemistry department? Are they actively publishing, and how closely do they mentor their Master's students?
Thank you in advance for any insights, advice, or personal experiences you can share! : D
