DISCUSSION Struggeling to stay motivated

Hi,

I started YouTube about 4 month ago and I am completely paralyzed at the Moment. Cant even bring myself to record anything.

I am an extrem perfectionist plus I am the kind of person that watches a movie or reads a book and notice all the small mistakes and Errors.

So I torture myself with everything I record. I record, edit, rerecord and reedit. I hate everything I create because it isnt anywhere close to what I have in my head.

I get bursts of motivation, create something, hate it and than cant force myself to even start recording.

There is a million ideas in my head but I struggel to start because I know I will tear them appart once I start working on them.

I Set myself goals to post a weekly Video, do it for 2 or 3 weeks and than spiral again to do nothing for the next 2 weeks.

Yesterday I think I reached my breaking point. I recorded on monday and wanted to start editing Yesterday. But I hated it so much that I deleted everything and now I am spiriling again, thinking maybe I should quit.

Anyone went through the same? If yes did you manage to fix it?

CONTENT TALK What do i do if I'm accused of using AI?

So i got this new movie essay channel and i'm very worried about my voice sounding like AI, i care a lot about what i do and it takes me at least a week to make each video, but i just now realized that people used to say that i sound like a shitty LLM and the self doubt is creeping in.

Do you ever get accused of being an AI? And how do you deal with it?

TECH HELP Wrong demographic, French people for an English video

I need help. I have an English-language Minecraft channel, but I'm French Canadian.

My first video got 2k views and reached an audience that was 95% from the US, UK, and other English-speaking countries. However, my second video only got 300 views, and 95% of its audience was FRENCH-SPEAKING.

The language of both videos is set to English, and the channel language is also set to English. I really don't understand what's going on. Could being French Canadian have something to do with this?

SHORTS TALK I've uploaded 400 videos to my channel, 500k views 296 subscribers, i'm the most untalented youtuber

I've uploaded many videos, still don't understand why I can't go viral and I'm so sick of this. this is my 5th channel that I've stuck to. absolutely can't understand what I'm doing wrong. I can't have my channel always trying to figure out what topic to shoot videos about. so I prepared some material in advance. 1500 views is my maximum. I'm starting to think, I'm just bad at it and it can't be fixed.

Also, the community says - you can't provide a link to your channel. but how the hell ppl supposed to understand what the problem is?

SHORTS TALK YT shorts views stuck for every short i upload

I am a new shorts creator and I'm uploading content with good editing and good hooks but I don't know why but every short I upload gets stuck at a certain number of views after a while. I uploaded a short yesterday and at start it was gaining views fast but later it slowed down, now its stuck at 437 and won't budge an inch. Today I uploaded another short but it got stuck at 1 view for 2 hours and now its stuck at 13 views for hours. What causes this? What should I do?

SHORTS TALK New YouTube Shorts Channel Stuck at 7 Views After 9 Days - What Should I Do?

Hey everyone! I started uploading YouTube Shorts 9 days ago, and my channel was getting some reach at first. However, my latest video, uploaded 9 hours ago, is stuck at just 7 views, with only 3 views coming from the Shorts feed.
I'm worried that my channel might be stuck in the so-called "O views jail." I'm new to YouTube, so I'm not sure if this is normal or if I should do something ditterently.
Should I keep uploading as usual, take a break, or change something about my content?
Any advice or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

DISCUSSION Starting a New Channel vs Use Existing One

I need help from someone that have/manage dual YT channel, so I have a gaming channel with Minecraft content on it, and I planned to make GTA VI content later on when it released, I kinda afraid using my existing channel would confuse the algorithm, but creating a new one kinda risky and meaning starting again from stratch. So what should I do?

DISCUSSION Alternative BETA Testers Wanted

Hey all new here, so apologies in advance if I am breaking a rule. I am designing a capcut alternative and was wondering if anyone is interested in trialing it and provide feedback.

Its in the early stages of development. We are just wanting to gauge ideas of other features to add to it. Currently it works similar to capcut, can create and transcribe audio and line up images and videos to the exact timeline so very little editing is needed.

Mainly I want to know if it’s easy to pick up without help, like if anything’s confusing or hard to find. But the big things I’d love tested are the auto captions (do they line up with the voice), the caption styles, and whether exports come out right on your PC. And if there’s a feature you’d use that’s missing, tell me that too.

DISCUSSION 0 views on my YouTube shorts 1300 subscribers

I have around 1,300 subscribers, and my Shorts have completely fallen off over the past month.
Before this, even my low-performing Shorts would get around 1,000 views. Now I’ve been posting for a month and getting fewer than 100 views. My latest Short has been up for almost 12 hours and has literally zero views.
What makes it even more confusing is that my long-form videos are getting around 2,000 views. So people are clearly still finding my channel, but my Shorts have gone from at least 1,000 views to almost nothing.
I post podcast clips, and my last couple of Shorts got 45 and 61 views. I understand that not every video will perform well, but this feels like a drastic change, and after a month of it I’m honestly getting discouraged.
Has anyone else experienced something like this? Did your Shorts eventually start getting views again? If you found something that helped, I’d appreciate hearing about it.

CONTENT TALK Is ctr suppose to be lower now?

Stopped making videos for more than half a year I've noticed some views don't even count as ctr at all. So it's safe to say ctr benchmarks are no longer valid of what is consider good ctr? Not like they ever were but like even worse now.

DISCUSSION 6 of 10 and falling on a high effort video

These things will happen but dang, it hurts to be getting 5% of the views my last two videos got. I’d mind less if I was pulling the views other successful channels in my niche are but I’m still in the newbie phase.

Only advice I need right now is mindset: what’s the best way to give my head a shake and move on?

DISCUSSION Re-uploading old videos...works

Just wanted to add my experience.

When I started out making youtube videos (niche hobby related) approx 1yr ago, I was pretty excited, and made 1 really great video amongst what I'd say were a few medium-good ones. It was basically my 'i should make a video on this!' excitement-trigger video if that makes sense. I wasn't a totally brand new channel at the time, I think i had 100 subscribers or so.

Well I felt that video never really got the views it deserved, it was getting near 0 impressions ever since the initial upload and push, and having recently crossed over 1k subs & noticing basically all my videos get a really good push in the first 3 days, I decided to delete it and reupload it. Few minor tweaks but nothing major. New thumbnail in my current style.

I've read so much advice that says not to do this, and the algorithm is smarter than you, the old video will naturally get recommended at some point and find its audience etc etc...

Well having done it, after a week It is now my channels best performing video.

CONTENT TALK People not subscribing but im getting views

I do gaming videos with a png model. So my videos gets 150-300 videos with the most i got was 600 and my YouTube shorts always get 1k plus views. I get a few likes here and there but then I barely get any subscribers. I had 1 person unsubscribe maybe 3 different times and I had made it to 29 subscribers but then 2 people unsubscribe from my channel lowering me back down to 27 subscribers and that really discouraged me...

Is anyone else having the same issue? Or have any advice?

DISCUSSION Frustrating when an algorithm push is delayed

Scheduled video goes out at a time you pick and it doesn't start getting traction for almost a day. You end up wondering whats off.

You look at titles tags even change them. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.

Have a good week then the next even less of a pull.

Just venting hope everyone's having a good week

CONTENT TALK How do you learn live FX performance? Looking for creators to study, too.

I'm working toward a live FX direction style for my gaming content and content in general. My goal is to make my content feel like a live performance, with humor, reactions, vocal FX, sound, and motion design happening in the moment rather than relying on heavy post production.

I respect heavily edited content, but that style doesn't come naturally to me. I prefer creating assets and directing things on the fly, and hyper-edited content isn't the direction I want to pursue.

I've already built my own FX library and have the equipment and systems in place to execute my ideas. My struggle is learning to recognize moments worth enhancing, choosing and remembering to use the right fx. (Ofc while keeping it smooth. Which I presume would just come more with time and practice).

I'm looking for advice on where to start and building that mental muscle.

Any recommendations of creators that have similar styles would also help. The Call of Duty DJ. Is the only creator that comes to mind. As someone who uses such a high volume of things in such quick succession and smoothly.

Feel free to ask me any clarifying questions.

DISCUSSION Uploaded my first video but I have some doubt

So I just uploaded my first video, it's been around 40 hours

Impressions:613

CTR:1%

Average view duration: 1:36

Video length:10 min

I know this data may not make sense now as it's too early. My question is when can I start taking the analytics as feedback?

Because I still have a little self doubt about who my audience will be.

I come from a tech background so naturally I want to make tech explainer videos as this is the only thing I'm good at. What I don't know is if I should choose a wider audience or a more niche audience. Right now a wider tech audience may not understand the video. Do you think it is the right choice? Or Should I make the explanations easier to understand for a wider audience?

Hey guys,

Just started, no subscribers lol, only 3 vids out.

Right now rocking a Samsung a34 and capcut only and looking to up the quality. Was considering the DJ mic mini 2. Any tips on decent audio and tools for creating visuals
