Mod Post When joining groups for topics you like, how do you know what’s an “official” group?

If something has to do with Reddit itself and it is listed as an official community, it is one of those that is run by Reddit and the mod team will be made up of admin – those are people who are employees of Reddit and if they post her comment you will see ADMIN next to their username in red letters.

If it's an official community for a company, a game, or some other business entity than you'll see moderators who have the brand affiliate tag attached to their post and comments, you'll see official company announcements, one of the mods on the my team will have the name of the company Incorporated into their username, etc.

Thanks for contributing to r/NewToReddit! We're sorry, but your content was removed:

You are most likely Shadowbanned by Reddit, which means your account is basically stuck in the spam filter site-wide and all your content is automatically filtered out.

This didn't come from us, but from Reddit, and is meant for spammers and other bad faith users, but sometimes mistakes happen and new redditors get caught too.

Please see this page for how to appeal

If it was a mistake, they'll restore your account.

Appeals may take a while, depending on demand and current events. Please do not spam or abuse the appeals team.
