Iranian Discussion | گفتگوی ایرانی What do you think of renewed strikes?

It seems like renewed strikes are not a matter of if but when. There have been many differing opinions regarding the prospect of the war starting up again so I’d like to get a read on this sub’s mood.

Do you think a renewed striking campaign will help our cause? If not then what actions will? Or have you lost all hope and you just want to keep doomposting on every thread?

Iran updated analysis, October 27
Some observations from the last two days:

  1. Yesterday, Regime’s president met Turkey’s intelligence chief in Tehran. The fact that it was the intelligence chief (not the defense minister for instance) is very telling and not normal. Historically, intelligence services usually smell the fall of a regime earlier than other parts of the system, like in Germany with the Stasi, in Iraq under Saddam, in the Soviet Union, and elsewhere.

They know sooner and try to secure their options. My guess is that parts of the regime’s system may be trying to secure escape routes. Turkey shares a long land border with Iran, and they might be checking what their options would be if they need to run by land into Turkey.

  1. Today he is in Moscow to meet Putin and also see Qatar’s Emir.

  2. Iran’s Crown Prince @PahlaviReza issued a fresh call today, saying the moment to act is approaching and preparing people for what is coming.

  3. Yesterday, U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent told Iran International ( Persian speaking satellite channel) that Iranians should stop paying taxes and start stockpiling gasoline.

  4. There is also a localized ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia brokered by US First Lady Melania Trump

  5. Trump said they are still begging for a deal, which means the two sides are still in touch and a deal remains possible.

In my opinion: if a new round starts before the midterms (especially if it begins with an official assassination the way Epic Fury started) it will be very short. That would mean Trump has already secured the people inside the regime to fold and has satisfactory results locked in.

Reminder: Assad fled to Russia and the prime minister went on national TV and announced the handover. The same scenario is likely here: the key people are already in place, and they mainly just need some IRGC elements put out of the way.

If nothing happens before midterms, there might be more challenges ahead. Regardless, this regime won’t last long, Iranians will take back their country.

They won't truly solve the fuel issue by stopping subsidies or rationing they will appear strong until their is none left.

They will not ration medical supplies they will go until it's all gone.

One day hopefully soon the facade will fall in one fell swoop.

Discussion | گفتگو Can someone from an Arab background explain..

I feel like if I post this in any actual Arab subs it’ll get taken down lol. But why does it feel like Arabs live in a different reality than us? The terrorist attack in Jordan and the response from random Arabs claiming that Jews/Zionists were behind it really solidified that everything is a conspiracy, and nothing is as it seems according to them. Is it because they don’t want to admit their countries have an extremism problem? Also, Are we guilty of the same thing whenever we hear about Iranians dying at the hands of other Iranians? I have seen people blame imported Shias from Iraq and Afghanistan, but we are also not afraid to admit that we have homegrown extremists and terrorists and nasty jihadist kotlet worshippers, right?

Discussion | گفتگو War General Discussion Megathread (Day 243)

Hello to all Iranians and friends,

Due to the high volume of rapid updates and back-to-back threads, we ask that posts that do not contain a new or significant development be directed to this megathread. This includes general discussion, speculation, reactions, opinions, broader commentary, questions, jokes, memes, and general messages of support.

Standalone posts should primarily be reserved for current events and newly released information, such as breaking news, new videos or footage, official statements, confirmed updates, or other meaningful developments. Legitimate news and newly released footage are still allowed and encouraged as standalone submissions.

Minor updates, repeated information, personal commentary, or posts that do not report a new development may be redirected to the megathread or removed. Depending on activity levels, broader consolidation into the megathread may become mandatory.

This approach helps reduce clutter, limit misinformation, and keep the subreddit organized during a fast-moving situation.

Please remain civil, avoid spreading unverified claims, and continue to follow all subreddit rules.

Thank you for your cooperation.

History | تاریخ Did Pre-Islamic Iran have female warriors?

I keep seeing references and artist renditions of women fighting in ancient Iranian armies during the Pre-Islamic era. Like artwork of Sassanian women fighting Romans etc. Sometimes I've heard these being connected with the struggle of modern Iranian women, but was it actually real? I can't find much information on them.

Discussion | گفتگو Flour shortages in Iran fuel skyrocketing bread prices and shutdown of bakeries

Post image
113 Upvotes

"Our bakery is closed because we have no flour, and nobody is taking responsibility,” a independent baker told Iran International.

The shortages have coincided with declining purchasing power, leaving bakeries struggling to secure supplies as customers struggle to afford bread.

“They don't have flour to give us, and I swear to God, people don't have money to buy bread either. Our economic situation has become critical,” another baker said.

Pat and Mat are 2 Czechoslovakian characters from a hilarious child programme. They’re 2 clumsy DIY handymen who in every episode try to work something out and they usually only make everything worse. But they don’t give up and they either solve something with some batshit crazy solution that either works or makes things even worse. Depending on the writers.

I fairly recently found out that they are actually popular in Iran because they don’t talk. Are you familiar with them?
