Riding the hype of the Dawn of War 4 release, I watched one of the trailers. How the HELL did The Lion blocked that spear attack? Is that even right? Even lore-wise? He should've been evaporated. That was just stupid.

Hello fellow Phaerons I am here to regale my recent battle against those dubious Custodes and the unbelievable luck of my Void Dragon. In my most recent game against my friend I decided to try out the new 2dp Canoptek Court and I brought a void dragon because I’ve learned you need a ctan when you go against custodes. She ended up bringing a standard list but the important units are a Telamon, 6 allarus custodes, and Trajan Valoris because and for some ungodly reason the void dragon ate all of them. The first fight was with TJ and 3 allarus against Mr void and with help of prior shooting was able to kill all 3 allarus and then tank 15 wounds from TJ with tanking 8FNP rolls. Opponent turn She fell back, shot, and charged back into the Void Dragon and proceeded to fail a 7in charge on the Telamon. Mr Void Dragon once again tanked TJ and swung back and wounded him down to 1. Next turn I made a minor error even where I was trying to desperately kill the Telamon at 1 wound with warrior melee and that allowed her to interrupt and attack the Void Dragon which he proceeded to tank once again. Trajan got splatted. Opponent turn she surrounds the Void Dragon with more allarus custodes and the 1 wound Telamon and it’s not looking good with him at 4 wounds i mean like come on what could survive all that shooting and melee. They did 3 wounds. Live on one. I stabbed the Telamon with my tail and killed an allarus. She forfeit after that I don’t blame her after that statistical anomaly. Moral of the story bring a C’tan

Hello fellow Phaerons, I have known of the destroyer curse for many years, but I am curious to know how controlled it is? Could a destroyer be tasked to perhaps destroy all the grass on a planet, blade by blade to whittle away their time, or would the desire to destroy overwhelm said commands?

I started a Necron collection with the Indomitus box and love the Nightbringer and everything Destroyer Cult. The only problem is I bought the Doomstalker and not sure I want 2 of them. Is it worth buying

A great friend of mine (Shout out Matt if you see this!) recently took the 40k plunge after many years of playing other mini games (Legion, MCP, Bolt Action, X Wing, etc.)

He's opted for Necron and bought the Combat Patrol.

I'd like to surprise him with something. What unit(s) compliment it well?

He and I are FAR from meta/competitive players, in these games.

With the new battle forces coming on Christmas, I’ve decided on necrons as my second army after Orks. With the current point costs, I can get the battleforce to exactly 1000 points with my Trans-Shroud Overlord and the destroyer ankh from cursed legion.

I am planning on building a cursed legion army any list recommendations and what other 1st I can use ?

so I just finished the book and liked it even more than the first one, specifically because the ending of the first felt kinda sour. Since it was then a standalone book, it was kinda sad to see Trazyn and Orikan fall back into their usual habits. Can't have progress in 40K!

so when TWATW had two scenes of them acknowledging their feelings towards each other (whether you read them as close friendship or love is up to you) I was over the moon! Can't believe a frikking 40K novel got me to choke up over two soulless grumpy old space skeletons!

then I read the epilogue where Trazyn is like "Yeah no, haven't talked to Orikan in years, he's dead to me."

why? I get that he was angry when he realised that Orikan was releasing the deceiver shard but after all that came before that really didn't feel like anything that should break their friendship again. Especially because it ends with Orikans very gay goodbye message on Trazyn's favourite statue.

so what's going on? Is Trazyn actually angry? Is he just keeping face in front of Philias so she doesn't know that Orikan and him have been going on regular dates since that final battle? I loved the book but all the time I was scared that in the end their friendship would be severed again and then on literally the last page exactly that happens. Doesn't ruin the whole thing for me but maybe I missed something. Everyone discussing the epilogue is just talking about the political implications but what about our robot husbands? :(

The idea is to have Imotekh on home with the 1x2 heavy lokhusts and single lokhusts screening the flanks. The ophydians and skorpekhs go as objective play and mobility on each flank as well. Then Both C'tan go down centre with the Reanimator supporting them with it's nanoscarab beam ability.

(Another note, I really like playing destroyers so, there's that too).
