Aldershot Town entered this match in 12th place, having lost their previous three league games. They had also needed a replay to overcome ninth-tier Tadley in their opening FA Cup qualifying round. Facing 19th-place Wealdstone at home therefore presented the Shots with a good opportunity to turn their fortunes around. However, given their recent form, it was hardly surprising that they spent a goalless first half struggling to break down the Wealdstone defense.
Wealdstone struck immediately after the restart, scoring in the 46th minute to put the Shots on the back foot. Although Aldershot scrambled to find an equalizer, they failed to recapture the quick, attacking style that had served them so effectively earlier in the season. The defeat leaves the Shots in 14th place, continuing their slide down the league table.

Boreham Wood have been flying so far, and staying unbeaten for this long is seriously impressive. The thing is, keeping that level up over a full season is a different challenge. I'd love to see how they handle it when they hit a difficult spell.

Eleven wins and two draws from their first 13 games is a brilliant start, and a 35-point total already puts Boreham Wood in a strong position. But I think the reaction to their first defeat will tell us just as much as the unbeaten run itself.
Every team eventually has a bad afternoon, and the danger is letting one result turn into two or three. I'm more interested in how they respond when their confidence gets tested than in whether they can keep the unbeaten record going forever.
Which team looks best equipped to put pressure on Boreham Wood over the next couple of months?

Hi All, I’ll try to keep this relatively short. Past 2 years I’ve been tinkering with turfscout.co.uk, started out as a pitch finder, was a bit crap tbh and I was never fully happy with it. Since then I’ve expanded it to cover matches and clubs and I actually think it’s pretty decent now. I did get permission to post here as I think some could find it useful.
- Do I make money from it? No. I run it at a loss and expect that to be the case forever tbh.
- AI used? Yes. For code implementation only. Architecture, CSS/UI, Logo, Databases etc are all me. This isn’t a one shotted claude app it’s been 2 years of trial and error and it’s been shit for most of those 2 years.
- Why not use Futbology? We’re not competing with them, they have global coverage where we never will. They charge a fee for full fixture info and we charge nothing. We also go deeper into the UK Pyramid.
-6500 Clubs in the database.
-Around 1300 Weekly fixtures covered.
-38,000 pitches covered. England data is strong, Scotland data isn’t as strong, and Wales data is pretty bad right now.
Give it a go, I have nothing to gain from this, it uses no user data outside of general browser geocoding if you use “my location” and would use a postcode if you wanted match alerts. Uses no third party analytics either.
Zero data is taken without permission and any other data is public domain info which is also credited on the site.
Genuinely has a very simple goal, get people out playing and watching local football. Most people know more about their local takeaways than their local clubs and I’m just trying to help with that because the FA does a terrible job tbh.
It’s not a LiveScore service either and it never will be. It does update periodically though.

Boreham Wood have 35 points from 13 games, with Harrogate on 28 and Southend on 27. An 11-win, two-draw start is excellent, and it's hard to argue with their position at the top.
Personally, I think the pressure now shifts to the chasing teams. They can't just hope Boreham Wood eventually drop points. They need to put together their own runs of wins and make sure the gap doesn't become too difficult to close.
Harrogate, Southend and Yeovil fans, which of your sides has the best chance of catching Boreham Wood, and why?

The wheels came off the Aldershot Town wagon late in the match as the Shots suffered their third consecutive league loss. This contest remained a tightly fought 1–1 draw until the 80th minute when the Shots were reduced to ten men after earning their fifth red card of the season. Altrincham wasted no time capitalizing, converting a penalty a mere two minutes later to regain the lead. Altrincham then capped off their victory with a final insurance goal in the second minute of stoppage time. Although the Shots seemed to be defying expectations at the start of the season, their recent form suggests that they could soon find themselves in another struggle to stay above the relegation zone.
