Mod Weekly thread where you can call the music recognition bots without posting

To use the bots put u/RecognizeSong u/find-song with the link in your comment, like:

u/RecognizeSong u/find-song https://youtu.be/12345abcde

Notes:

  • The bots only work with a recording of the actual song, not a humming/recreation.
  • The sites that find-song works with: Reddit video posts (with a link or when summoned on the original post), YouTube, Vocaroo, Streamable, Twitch Clips (not VODs)
  • Some of the sites that RecognizeSong works with: Reddit video posts (when summoned on the original post or with an audio link if you're able to get it, like https://v.redd.it/12345/DASH_audio.mp4), YouTube (though sometimes it doesn't work), Vocaroo, Streamable, Imgur, Twitch Clips (not VODs), Facebook, Twitter, Coub, Dropbox, Snapchat
  • For Reddit video posts there's also u/songfinderbot which only works if you summon it in a top-level comment on the original post
  • Some sites that RecognizeSong doesn't work with: Instagram, Twitch VODs, SoundCloud, Google Drive, Reddit text posts with embedded videos (though it does work with the audio link if you're able to get it, like https://v.redd.it/12345/DASH_audio.mp4)
  • When needed, mention a timestamp or use a timestamped link if possible (the bots scan about 24-30 seconds of audio, starting at the timestamp)
  • If the song is from a meme or from TikTok then it might be listed in the FAQ
  • Note that you can also DM find-song a link (but not through chat)

Good luck with your search, and if you find the bots useful please consider supporting them: RecognizeSong through Patreon, find-song through Ko-fi

Piano Dad (died 2018) played this song so much. We have never been able to find it.

My Father used to play this song all the time. He passed away in 2018 and we have no been successful finding it. It might be an outro to a song? Honestly not sure.

I uploaded it to my youtube channel. Wasn't sure how to share the video. If that is against the rules let me know. I can try to figure out how to convert it and upload. Thank you!

It has a riff just like this that steps down and sounds almost identical and no it’s not don’t you forget about me, I could swear it’s a song from the 2000s-2010s but don’t quote me and it has a riff that steps down the exact same as the clip I posted

Electronic/EDM Spooky Scary Skeletons/Rattle Me Bones

• Upvotes

So back in the olden days of Gmod Theater circa 2012, I used to love blasting this dubstep remix of Spooky Scary Skeletons that I could swear was called "Spooky Scary Skrilletons" or something. Part of the reason I enjoyed rhe song is because it had a portion where a breakdown lead into a remixed version of the old commercial for Rattle Me Bones.

For the life of me I cannot find this version of the song, its not the Tombstone version. Could someone give me a hand? Id like to hear it again just for the nostalgia.

I was at this party last week and couldn’t believe my ears when I heard this song, because I’ve been trying to find it for years. But Shazam couldn’t identify it, I even tried humming the melody. ChatGPT was no help either.
Now I know the quality is pretty bad with all the people talking but I’d appreciate any suggestions!

Hi!

I know it's a long shot, since it's probably some kind of remix, but here we go!

I've recently attended the le sserafim concert and between the acts, there was this one song that really catched my attention. Does anyone recognize it? (shazzam couldn't)

(just in case someone will ask: this is not their song as well)

Video Game OST Potentially JRPG/ Modern Retro RPG OST

this youtube short has what sounds like some kind of SNES-era RPG/JRPG soundtrack playing, the soundfont is there but the fidelity made me think either Remaster or an original, modern Retro RPG.

Investigated a few such RPG OSTs to no avail so far.

The mixtape is from 1985 but the song could be from a few years earlier. Nothing came up with Shazam or AudD search. The mixtape was recorded in Turkey. Two songs left to identify out the fifteen on the tape :)

Lo-fi Spooky Lofi song from a minecraft mod pack.

Caseoh is playing a modpack called From the Fog by SoumXD. There are hundreds of mods in this pack so I'm really not sure where to begin. A really awesome sounding spooky lofi track plays and I can't find it. I'd be surprised if anyone could find the source, but maybe I'll get lucky. Here is the clip from Twitch. The song kicks up around 25 seconds in.

Pop Recent upbeat internet type song

I have a song stuck in my head and I don’t know what it is. I can’t remember any of the lyrics, in my head it sounds like a man saying something like “I want to give it to you hot” and then it’s followed by a female voice that almost sounds like a clip being repeated over and over again and in my head it sounds like “gitcha” repeated over and over very fast and I think that’s the chorus. The only other clues are that I believe it is a semi recent song, and I think I remember being somewhat embarrassed that I liked a song from the artist. It may have come from a “chill” mix on Spotify or maybe even an anime intro but that’s doubtful. It may have been popular on TikTok or something at some point

Pop [80s Pop/Rock] Unknown song from Timbiriche (2026) Episode 5

Hi everyone!

I’ve been desperately trying to identify a song from the Mexican TV series Timbiriche (2026), available on ViX.

The song plays during a party at Paulina Rubio’s house in Episode 5, titled “Si no es ahora”, approximately 10–13 minutes into the episode.

Here’s what I know:

  • It’s an upbeat English-language song with a very 1980s pop/rock sound.
  • It plays in the background during the party.
  • Some of the lyrics sound like “now I’m stuck in a loop”, “fighting the truth” or “take the fear away”, but I’m not completely sure.
  • I’ve already tried Shazam, AHA Music, searching the lyrics online, and looking through soundtrack databases, with no luck.

I’m starting to suspect it might be production/library music, but I haven’t been able to confirm that.

Does anyone recognize this song, the singer, or even the music library it might come from?

I’ve spent hours trying to find it, and I’d genuinely appreciate any help!

Traditional/World Music "Indian" flute song I heard years ago in a restaurant

Hi, I really hope this is the place - Years ago I have been in a restaurant with more or less indian food in central Germany and they played "indian" music, and this one song stayed with me for all those years. The melody was repeated over and over and lasted for what seemed like a very long time, it was played by a flute and accompanied by the "classic" indian tablas and this humming sound I can't remember the name of right now.

I made a mp3 of the "hook" that I suppose I remember perfectly, so if something, then that it's a flute, it was played over and over, but most importantly it was pretty much the melody that I made for you

Looking forward to find it

THANKS in advance

deep/soulful house PLEASE help me ID this deep/soulful house track — searching for 2 years

Hi everyone,

I'm desperately trying to find the exact track playing in this mix. I've been searching for almost two years and still haven't found it.

It can be heard in Chymamusique's Birthday Mix from June 2024, around 6:25 at 11:30 https://youtu.be/TWvd6IjwgaU?t=385

It's a deep/soulful house track featuring a vocal that sounds like it comes from a 1990s R&B song.

I've tried Shazam and multiple music identification websites, with no luck.

I'm looking for the exact house remix/track being played, not just the original R&B song or vocal sample.

Does anyone recognize this track or know the DJ/producer who made it?

Any help would mean a lot. Thank you!

Chillout/Ambiance TOMT] [Music] Creepy background piano music from a horror story YouTube video

Hey everyone, I really need your help with this. I've been searching for a specific creepy background piano track for 7 years now! It's a dark, eerie ambient piano combined with unsettling background sounds, frequently used in horror storytelling YouTube videos (like Arabic horror channels).
Shazam and Al tools couldn't recognize it because it's heavily buried or modified. If anyone recognizes this exact vibe or knows where this track is from, please help me out. It's driving me crazy!
