I have noticed that the game was set to be released as an import october 22nd But videogamesplus didn't make their usual post about receiving the stock and shipping the orders. They have for other imports releasing on similar dates though.

Did they say anything about the orders coming in late or something?

First two boxes are the limited editions for Crystar and Crymachina, since I will be getting Crymelight this November I thought why not

The second release of the arcade beast that is Snow Bros. My younger kid loves arcade classics like this. Anything boss heavy he eats up. Had to complete the series on switch and pick up Snow Bros 2. The sequel where the bosses get a ton more weirder and the chaos gets upped a little more.

STORY

The story of Snow Bros. 2 Special embraces classic, campy 90s arcade tropes. The core plot revolves around the four hero protagonists embarking on a quest across multiple worlds to rescue a kidnapped princess from the Great Demon King Atchich.

Following the events of the original game—where the twin snowmen Nick and Tom successfully saved Snow Land—peace is shattered once again. A bizarre, jelly-bean-like princess is snatched away by the forces of evil. However, Tom is missing this time around. To save her, Nick teams up with three "New Elves," each representing a different elemental weather power.

The story handles the rescue through a running gag: as the heroes complete each world, the princess is comedically passed along from one sub-boss henchman to the next. The brief cutscenes put her in classic, exaggerated cliffhanger scenarios, such as being tied to railroad tracks, keeping the narrative tone lighthearted and humorous.

GAMEPLAY

The "special switch" primarily refers to two distinct features designed to give players control over their gameplay experience: the Art/Version Switch and the Game Mode/Version Switch.

The remake addresses a long-standing division between fans of the original 1994 arcade release regarding character portraits.

The "Special" naming convention signifies that this release acts as a complete package holding two entirely separate versions of the game.

The Original Arcade Mode: A direct emulation of the classic 1994 arcade title (Snow Bros. 2: With New Elves) featuring original pixel art, 4-player local co-op, and original stage layouts.

The Special Remake Mode: A completely revamped modern version featuring redrawn HD-like cartoon graphics, rearranged music, and updated mechanics like the ability to drop down through floors by pressing Down + Jump.

While the original 1994 arcade version concluded after chasing the original bosses across 6 worlds, the Switch's Special Remake Mode expands the narrative.

The campaign's length is effectively doubled, introducing a brand-new secret world where the true final confrontation takes place. Players must navigate revamped, multi-phase boss fights to defeat the ultimate threat, King Atchich.

By playing the new Monster Challenge mode, you can play through the stages from the perspective of the enemy monsters. Completing the game with different characters unlocks unique, collectible ending artwork.

The addition of the "Monster Challenge" mode lets you play as the enemy monsters, and some completely break the traditional platforming rules by flying .

While the primary heroes (Nick, Bobby, Roy, and Richard) are strictly bound by standard gravity and platforming layouts, unlocking specific monster characters—such as the helicopter enemies—allows you to fly freely across the stages.

The characters fundamentally change how you attack. For example, Richard uses mini-cyclones that intentionally climb upward rather than cascading down platforms, forcing a total reversal of traditional Snow Bros. strategy.

To achieve full completion and unlock all of the game's secret ending artwork, you must successfully beat the campaign using every single one of the 35 playable characters.

Towa and Alchemic Cutie were both mail deliveries, all the rest are ones I wheeled and dealed for at the flea market. I am fascinated by Alchemic Cutie, because it seems to be a really well made, in-depth hybrid between Stardew Valley and Slime Rancher, but there's almost no info or community about it online. Glad I have a physical copy, I guess?

Got the Ace Attorney Trilogy in Japanese and Fire Emblem Engage in Korean. I probably have the best chance with Engage since it already has an existing print in English anyway but I can't say the same about Ace Attorney.

If there aren't any individuals, are there any good printing companies that can get insert prints done pretty close?

I just ordered both the amiibos fo Oot which came out to $66.97 USD, but when fraud texted me about it it only showed $47.85 USD and my bank account only shows $47.85, is there a reson it's not showing the full $66.97?

Originally released on the Xbox...never got a chance to play it since I've never owned an Xbox. Had a chance with the PS3 port. It never gave it a shot either. Glad I have another shot with the switch. Definitely one of those games, if not for my kids, I'd dodge it again.

STORY

Castle Crashers follows four knights on a comedic, wordless quest to rescue four kidnapped princesses and reclaim a stolen mystical crystal from an Evil Wizard.

An Evil Wizard crashes a royal banquet, steals the King's giant power crystal, and kidnaps his four daughters. The knights pursue the wizard across kingdoms, fighting through hordes of barbarians, thieves, aliens, and ninja pirates.

Along the way, the knights defeat major bosses to rescue three of the princesses (Green, Red, and Blue) from captivity. The knights infiltrate the wizard's floating sky temple, defeat his top lieutenants (the Painter and the Necromancer), and destroy the Evil Wizard in a multi-phase boss fight.

GAMEPLAY

Simple but deep. Players use light attacks (Y), heavy attacks (X), and combinations of both to unlock complex combat strings.

Holding ZR opens up a character-specific elemental magic mode (such as fire, lightning, or ice) powered by a regenerating mana bar.

Defeating enemies awards experience points (XP) to level up your knight. Leveling awards skill points to manually distribute into four core attributes: Strength, Magic, Defense, and Agility.

Players can discover and swap between over 30 playable characters, an extensive arsenal of creative weapons, and unique "Animal Orbs"—floating pet companions that grant specific stat boosts or utility powers.

All bonus characters, weapons, and animal buddies from previous expansions are built straight into the core game framework.

A fast-paced, grid-based minigame replaces the original "All You Can Quaff" button-masher, challenging players to navigate tile maps via color-coded button inputs to avoid getting squashed.

The one dang game I decide to fight against and skip multigenerational consoles turns out to be a solid unanimously loved game.

Before it became the multi-million-selling hit we know today, Castle Crashers was originally being developed for the Nintendo GameCube under the working title "Ye Old Side-Scroller".

The knights had larger bodies, vastly different proportions, and less cartoonish armor. Instead of an Evil Wizard stealing a giant magical crystal, the villain originally stole a giant black ball from above the King's throne by physically rolling it out of the castle like a bowling ball.

After the convention, lead artist Dan Paladin felt the game's aesthetic lacked excitement. He scaled the knights down into the small, expressive, and highly animated square-headed heroes that eventually became an iconic part of Newgrounds and indie gaming history. Alright, just started to run this one with my kids and it's a pretty decent co-op beat em up.

Since BioWare is no more, I decided to grab a sealed copy of one of my all time favorite games. KOTOR holds a special place in my heart.

Super stoked to get all the extras with it!

Also got my copy of Tales of Eternia in from the UK.

About to fire it up now.

Very disappointed. Hoping for an LRG release on cart but chances are slimmer now.

I was one of the people who took a chance on that ebay account after that post last week. My game arrived and its also the MSE 005. So it looks like its legit that account is selling the 005 copies. Ebay user is katerusa1.

I’m really looking forward to dive in those games from my childhood. Also: was very pleasantly surprised with the extras, that Red Art Games sent me.
