The Arakan Army (AA) carried out a naval operation on the night of the Thadingyut full moon, October 26, attacking a junta naval group stationed at the mouth of the Kaladan River in Rakhine State. Three warships were damaged, and two completely sank, according to AA spokesperson Khaing Thukha.

Khaing Thukha revealed that the AA conducted a naval operation on the Thadingyut full moon night to attack and clear Myanmar military naval vessels stationed at the mouth of the Kaladan River between Sittwe and Wai Tha Na Ni (Pauktaw).

During the operation, 3 Myanmar navy warships were damaged, 2 completely sank, and the remaining 1 was severely damaged, he said.

Khaing Thukha also praised all the AA's technicians, officers, and soldiers who successfully carried out the operation.

Similarly, fighting continues intensely within Sittwe Township and surrounding areas connected to Sittwe Town, Khaing Thukha said.

The terrorist Myanmar fascist military is using innocent civilians trapped inside Sittwe Town as human shields and hostages to resist and attack, and is also going around destroying bomb shelters dug by the people for their safety, Khaing Thukha said.

These actions constitute a systematic premeditation to intentionally kill civilians and are crimes against humanity, Khaing Thukha also said.

Additionally, although the terrorist Myanmar military has intensely attempted to land and establish a foothold on Ngapali Island in recent days, Ngapali Island remains firmly under AA control, Khaing Thukha said.

Regarding Ngapali Island, he continued to say there is nothing further to say in detail regarding other matters related to military security.
