Okay so ignore my awkwardly camera-aware face. But here’s my handmade White Parade jacket for Wembley this Wednesday, the 8th.

I made it using traditional bespoke tailoring methods, so like the stuff they do on the world-renowned Savile Row (not at that same level of expertise of course).

Took me about 3 weeks of barely sleeping (some nights staying up til 3AM for details) and that was crazy work hahah, but I got it done in time.

Soon I’ll post the whole progress carousel whenever Reddit allows me to again hahah.

I did these as a project a while ago and handed out some leftover prints at the DC show! Figured I’d share them here too

So, I was thirteen. I went to Projekt Revolution in Hartford with a friend and my mother, and I remember having a wonderful time. I'm a writer--I'd started rewriting The Black Parade album as a book, exploring the Patient's journey through death and analyzing each song to form a cohesive story. If I remember correctly, at that point, I'd just finished the Mama chapter.

The show was my favorite one I've ever been to, though my friend and I left the pit to meet up with my mom as my friend had started passing out. I had brought the unfinished manuscript with me as some online friends had urged me to try to get the book to the band. As we sat near a tree, I told my mom, "We can't go yet. I didn't get to give them my book."

She took the manila envelope with all my contact info on it and walked over to security. "I'm not trying to get in," she said. She pointed at me. "My kid has something for MCR and we were wondering if there was any way to get it to them."

A woman passing by said, "I know someone on catering. I'll get it to them."

A few months passed and I got the first letter. "Can you finish by Christmas?" asked Gerard. I had a deadline now, so I got to work. I finished it. It's actually still on the internet, on a website I was on called Mibba. It was one of the biggest achievements I'd ever accomplished, and I was proud.

I remember the snow was melting on the ground when the second letter came. My mom had picked me up from middle school and she had an envelope from Reprise Records. It was two pages this time. Number one fan? Teenagers and Give 'Em Hell, Kid? This was the most validating experience a teenager could ask for from their favorite band, and I can't thank them enough for it. I've kept writing, I've kept rocking. I know they love me.

A few years later, Gerard name-dropped me (by last name) in the Umbrella Academy. I'll look for a scan later if need be.

I just wanted to share this experience, as it was formative for me and I still have the letters framed in my bedroom. I've never met them (save Frank in 2022), but I don't need to. This changed my life, and they saved my life.

How did I do

I’ve had this piece in mind for awhile now, and I was so excited to get it started yesterday!! I’ve always been a casual MCR fan, but after seeing them live last year and spending a lot of time really listening to The Black Parade, I feel like I’ve gained a much deeper appreciation for them, and have found more personal connections to their music.

I’m trans (if the top surgery scar didn’t clue you in already LOL), and I wanted this piece to reflect that without just falling back on using the trans flag colors, since The Black Parade is such a monochromatic album. The flowers used here are jonquils and hyacinths, which are the birth flowers of my sun and moon astrology signs, and together, the two flowers stand for death, courage, rebirth, and new beginnings. I thought it was very in keeping with the themes of The Black Parade, and also a more personal and subtle way to represent my transition and overall gender journey :)

After this all heals, I’ll be going back to get the rest of the color done! The hyacinths are all going to be red, and then there’s some more color work that needs to be done on the jonquils and the dagger pommel. I’m already so obsessed with it!!

being able to practically show my love for a group that has given me soooooo much in my life is a dream come true. i also grew up being taught that my 4C hair was an ugly limitation to me in life. So to reclaim it for my creativity, self expression and joy is everything. thank you for two AMAZING shows MCR 🖤🥀🖤

I’ve been to literally hundreds and hundreds of concerts over the past 30 years and never experienced being part of a crowd like tonight. As phenomenal as the performance was from start to finish, the crowd was just as much.

While I was waiting in line for the MCR concert I spray painted my trans flag, and now I want to use it for pride, but I'm afraid that if I wash it the logo will go away or the paint will make things black on the washing machine.

Any of you has washed a spray painted flag before? Any advice?

My name is Helena, so it’s always been a dream of mine to cosplay as Helena for an MCR concert! I saw them for the first time last year, so a bit of a late post lol. It was a surreal experience hearing everyone say my name as Helena! For the outfit, I customized the dress and made my own bouquet. Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge is my favorite album, so they didn’t play too many songs from it, but I’m glad to have at least heard Helena live!

Hi again! I’m not quite done making more of these but I’ve made over 600 perlers that I’m traveling with from Illinois. I had a lot of fun making these designs and I’m hoping people enjoy them as well! 🖤 All designs are original except for the kobra logo, mini killjoy masks, bli logo, and blasters. I’m sure I’ll also have some new designs after the last LLTBP shows ! Can’t wait to see everyone and trade some really rad art! Also if you can’t make it and want to trade—I’m open to do snail mail
