article C418 - Minecraft: Volume Alpha [Soundtrack + Electronic]
Rating: 8.4/10
Favourite Track: Living Mice + Sweden
Least Favourite Track: Death
Absolutely wonderful! I love Minecraft, and I don’t play it super often, but I just loved listening to this album. It brings back lots of nostalgia from when I played Minecraft on the Xbox 360 as a kid. I played it with my dad, though he could never build anything, so he only blew stuff up… Though a few of the songs (especially some towards the start) sound quite creepy without the game. I’d say that this album would be a 10/10 but that’s only when you’re playing the game. I found listening to the whole album at once to be kind of boring because it’s intended to have the game be played and listen to the music at the same time.
The sound of the album I really enjoyed. It has that nostalgic sound, but also it just sounds so calming and beautiful. Some of the tracks sound really epic and just amazing production quality as well.
Standout Track:
Living Mice: Just a classic. This song and Sweden always been my favourite tracks on the Minecraft album and they both just bring back such memories for me.
Nothing needs to change.
Amazing album.

discussion I need to find someone else like me, music makes me feel like I’m actually alive rather than feeling dull all the time
Everyone will put music on and be like “this sounds so good”. But when I hear it it’s just sounds and words, it doesn’t sound that good. For me music makes me feel alive, normally everything feels 2d and distant, but with the right songs it feels 3d and vivid, it’s like the difference between a warm flat soda and a fresh cold one, I’ve never met someone that understood what I ment and I struggle to find music like that, songs that really do it are hard to find, please if you feel something like this reply to the post, I would love to understand how to find music like that and what the feeling really is. I think another good description is, imagine seeing the same sunset one million times, then you’re listening to a song and it feels like the first sunset you’ve ever seen.

discussion I’m not a big country fan but I’ve discovered these two artists.
I’m not a big fan of country but in the last 6 months I’ve started listening to Colby T Helms and Bryan Andrews. They’re real outlaw country like my granddaddy liked when I was a wee baby. Johnny is pretty much the only country artist I listen to. Unless you consider honky tonk country then I love old Hank sr. Truest outlaw ever. Banned from the opery and died of drink.
So I just wanted to share and speak about these two artist but if y’all know other artist with a similar message hit me up.

discussion Like a Rolling Stone - One of the best combos of lyrics + delivery ever that really impacted me
The lyrics to Like a Rolling Stone and it's chorus are some of the most famous ever in music. The way Dylan describes feeling small and without options in face of life and the cruelty of things and you just keep rolling on really strikes you. He combines words in a really good away and when I heard it when I was 16 it really stroke me, lol
But what makes it even better is Bob Dylan's singing, even if some people don't like. There is a bit of sarcasm on the way he sings as if he's talking directly to you in a "I told you so" way. Makes you feel like you are on the situation Dylan's describing, and that comes across really well on the chorus, especially on the last one (When he sings "Oh, How does it feel?")
Just one of the best songs ever IMO

discussion Using words that don’t exist in songs
I just now realized I used a word that doesn’t exist, “contra-ceding” in one of my demos 😭
Also since Reddit subs are so strict, this can be a post for people to talk about their made-up-words

Favourite Track: These Walls
Least Favourite Track: Alright
Look, I can respect the album for what it is. It wasn’t really my thing, but I still enjoyed it somewhat, although not as much as other albums. I think that it’s definitely overrated, but I can still understand why people like it. It covers some very deep themes, and I understand the use of the n word, and there’s nothing wrong with it being used, however it is a thing that makes me uncomfortable regardless. The start to the middle of the album is really strong but once it passes that halfway point and goes more towards the end it definitely drops in enjoyableness for me.
The sound of the album I really liked in some parts, and in others not. Some of the more hip-hop focused parts of the album I didn’t really love but the thing that stood out to me the most and I really enjoyed was the jazz influence.
Standout Track:
These Walls: It was funky as. I loved the jazz influence, and also no uses of the n word. Amazing!
Overall, I enjoyed it somewhat. I can understand why uses of the n word are there, and they’re appropriate for the story and the kind of music it is, that just wasn’t for me though.
