Wir haben eine Wohnung gefunden und zahlen so verdammt viel Miete. Versteht mich nicht falsch, ich liebe diese Stadt aber es bleibt irgendwie nichts mehr übrig und sparen geht dann auch schlecht.

Mir wurden spontan 2 Karten zum Spiel heute Abend geschenkt, und nun werden ich und mein 7 Jähriger zu seinem ersten Bayern Spiel gehen - und möchte das so besonders wie möglich zu Gestalten.

Daher ein paar Fragen:

1. Wir wollen Bayrisch essen. Gibt es ein paar coole Spots wo Fans sich vor dem Spiel entlang der U6 treffen?
2. Gibt es am Stadion direkt sachen zu tun? Ich will den Jungen auch nicht Stundenlang durch die kälte quälen, sitzen ja schon lang genug im Stadion. Skiunterwäsche, Schal usw. ist schon mit eingeplant.
3. Andere Events oder Vorschläge für uns?

Ich überlege, beruflich aus einer anderen Stadt nach München zu ziehen. Die Wohnungssuche macht den Schritt allerdings ziemlich schwierig.

I recently moved to Munich as a joint master's student in LMU+TUM. Until now, I haven't been able to find many clubs accepting players, or even groups where I could play regularly. I am looking for other people that play badminton at a decent level. Not necessarily professional, but at least some experience. I have been playing badminton for 12 years now. My fitness has gotten a bit bad in the past couple of years, but overall I think I play decently.

I would love to connect with other badminton lovers in the city.

Meine Freundin hat letztens den Wunsch geäußert Pferde zu streicheln oder auch mal führen zu wollen. Ihr Opa hat früher in ihrer Heimat eigene Pferde gehabt und vor kurzem kam bei ihr der Wunsch auf auch mal wieder Kontakt zu Pferden zu haben.

Ihr geht’s gar nicht um Reitstunden sondern eher um das streicheln, Striegeln, pflegen von Pferden und sie ggf. auch mal auf der Koppel führen zu dürfen.

Im Internet finde ich fast nur Angebote für Kinder oder eben Reitkurse. Ich kann mir aber vorstellen dass viele Höfe so einen Nachmittag, an dem den Kontakt zu Pferden herstellen kann, anbieten.

Gerne kann auch anschließend bei der Fütterung oder beim Stall ausmisten geholfen werden, das wäre absolut kein Problem 😊

Vielleicht hat von euch ja jemand Kontakt zu Pferdehöfen und weiß mehr.

I’ve been living in Berlin for about five years now and I’m thinking of moving to Munich. Reason: I’ve done my time in Berghain queues and getting rejected.

On a serious note, I’ve visited Munich a couple of times for work and fell in love with the city. The people, food, parks, clean streets felt like a breath of fresh air compared to Berlin. My work also allows me to move and I don’t have any personal ties in Berlin apart from my friends.

My biggest concerns are finding an apartment and making friends ohne fließendes Deutsch. The second one is the bigger concern tbh.

Would Munich be the city where I find my next chapter or will I be trading Berghain rejections for apartment viewing rejections?

I’d love to hear your thoughts especially from people who did the same (mistake?!). If it matters I’m 31M, immigrant and speak B1 German with plans to make it B2 before next Oktoberfest. Vergelt’s Gott! 🥨💙

War von euch in letzter Zeit jemand dort? Kommt man - auch im Dunkeln gut durch, oder ist etwas im Weg, wenn man an der Bahnstrecke entlang läuft?

Hi Munich Reddit. I'm soon to be living in Munich (for marriage) and writing my dissertation remotely (my university is in the U.S.).

Two things I'm looking for input on here:

1) for those familiar with Munich, where would you reccomend as a good writing spot? Libraries and cafes mainly; I've been recommended the Juristische Bibliothek but it's not a good option as it's not a regularly public-open library.

2) I'd like to mingle among other archaeologists or tree scientists; for example, in my city we have a local archaeological society that hosts monthly happy hours, and weekly public-open lectures in my lab. Does anyone know of similar things happening in Munich?

Ich hab am Samstag die Eisbadesaison in der Isar eröffnet und mir dafür ein kleines Dashboard gebaut auf dem ich die wichtigsten Badedaten auf einen Blick aktuell sehe. Dann hab ich mir noch gedacht, man kann ja auch drinnen baden und noch die M-Bäder mit ihren Auslastungsbalken integriert. Vielleicht ist das ja auch für den ein oder anderen nützlich.
