This journey of life

• Upvotes

We are socialized to accept the self-centered beliefs of the world. Many adopt its views, prejudices, and fears. They therefore remain asleep, their life dictated by their blind obedience to their egoistic beliefs.

After we awaken, sensing the first messages from within, we begin to question those beliefs. Once we realize much of what we learned was not true, we may begin in earnest our journey to enlightenment.

We are all on this journey of life together and only together, by selflessly helping each other, regardless of our differences, will our life have genuine purpose and meaning.

Harry Kane took the long road to the top and still got there. Sometimes the answer is to keep showing up, keep believing, and keep becoming the person our dreams require us to be.

Motivation Boost 🔥 3weex 1yr Alcohol free and 5yrs Drug free turning motivational thoughts into reality

Good morning family and hope the start of your has been positive if not try to push through it.

Lastnite when I went to bed I decided to only to think about positive things and think about the stongest things that I could change that I haven't been able to change.

What I'm trying to do is trying to stay focused on positive change I'm trying to make myself dream about it as if It came true but if not at least I still wake up with the motivational thoughts. See I'm trying to retrain my mind I think that this process will only make me think positive and as soon as I think negative my thought process will automatically shift to something positive. I'm trying to get my thoughts process to put up a barrier as soon as negativity tries to enter.

Kind of like how strong my thought process was to drinking and drugging because then when I tried to think positive the negativity over rides the positive without fail.

So again I'm trying to put it into existence as well. Because you know the more you think positive it sets off endorphins and dopamine it's like a happy and positive button. It's also like building a mental auto-pilot to where it's a automatic switch when negative and unmotivating thoughts enter.

So with that said it sounds good but it's a matter of implementing the process which I think is doable.

Thanks for letting me share One Day Forward One Day Behind -Shawn

Two Drinks a Day Was Linked to a 1 in 25 Lifetime Risk of Alcohol-Related Death, and No Overall Health Benefit, in a Major Study

A study commissioned by the US government to inform dietary guidelines (Journal of Studies on Alcohol and Drugs, led by the University of Toronto) built a risk model from more than 7,200 papers and national health data. It estimated that averaging 14 drinks a week, or two a day, carries about a 1 in 25 lifetime risk of dying from an alcohol-related cause, and found no overall health benefit at any level once cancer and other harms were counted. These are population estimates from a model, not predictions for any one person.

Quote Meet Yourself

“You don't have to know whether the road will be easy. You only have to trust that you can meet yourself wherever the road leads.”

A lot of anxiety comes from wanting certainty before we move.

Will this work?

Am I making the right decision?

What happens next?

But perhaps confidence isn't knowing that everything will turn out exactly as you hope. Perhaps confidence is quieter: “Whatever comes, I will meet it with the person I am becoming.”

Meeting yourself mean: whatever life brings, instead of abandoning yourself, judging yourself, or immediately escaping into fear, you remain present enough to discover who you are in that moment.

You haven't met every version of yourself yet Think about it.

You've met you when things are comfortable.

But life introduces you to other versions of yourself:

\*You under pressure

\*You experiencing uncertainty

\*You receiving an unexpected opportunity

\*You making a mistake

\*You succeeding beyond what you expected.

\*You losing something.

\*You beginning again.

Some of those versions of yourself don't exist in your experience yet. That's why excessive worrying about the future can become strange when you really examine it. You're asking today's version of yourself: “How will I handle something that hasn't happened yet?” But if that moment ever arrives, you won't meet it as exactly the person you are today. You'll arrive there carrying everything you learned along the way. That's what I mean by meeting yourself there.

Sometimes circumstances reveal you to yourself We often think the spiritual journey is about discovering what's out there:

What is my purpose?

Where is life taking me?

What does all this mean?

But sometimes the road isn't merely taking you toward a destination. The road is introducing you to yourself.

An obstacle might reveal: "I didn't know I could be this patient."

A difficult decision: "I didn't realize how important integrity was to me."

Starting again: "I thought that chapter ending would destroy me. It didn't."

Meeting yourself also means developing an inner relationship where you can say: “I don't know what's around the bend, but when I reach it, I won't abandon myself there.”

If you're frightened, you'll listen to yourself.

If you're tired, you'll allow yourself rest.

If you make a mistake, you'll learn rather than destroy yourself with judgment.

Some versions of you can only be discovered by living. The journey reveals the traveler.

Let there be light!

Listen to the silence

Listen to the silence in between your racing thoughts.

Sense the quiet messages within.

Selflessly help all regardless of differences.

This is the lesson we are alive to understand.

If you had all the resources in the world, what's the one feeling you'd want to wake up with every morning?

I've been thinking about this a lot lately. Most of us spend our mornings just getting through the day, not feeling anything we'd actually choose.

So imagine you had unlimited money, time, and support. Nothing standing in your way.

What's the one feeling you'd want to wake up with every morning? And what do you think is stopping you from feeling it right now?

No wrong answers. I'm just curious what people really want underneath the "to-do list" version of life.

Question What makes someone good to talk to when you're having a bad week?

For a long time, my answer to a bad week was to introspect and come up with more plans. What I really underestimated was how much it helps to talk to someone who isn't trying to solve it. Although something I keep relearning about listening is that it's harder than it sounds. I sometimes catch myself interupting and jumping in with solutions far more than I'd like to admit.

For people here who are working on themselves, who do you talk to when things aren't going well, and what makes them good at it? I'm trying to get better at being that person.

A Two-Year Trial Found High-Dose Fish Oil Didn't Improve Memory or Protect the Brain in Older Adults at Risk

A two-year, double-blind trial from Keck Medicine of USC (published in eBioMedicine) gave 365 older adults at risk for Alzheimer’s either 2,000 mg of DHA fish oil or a placebo. DHA in the fluid around the brain rose 17%, but memory tests and hippocampus shrinkage looked no different from placebo. It tested one supplement in one group, not eating fish, and the researchers still point to exercise, sleep, and a balanced diet.
