Monster Hunter: Rise Netflix Edition, just recently found it from others posting on Facebook. Apparently not showing up in other regions, and so far it is available in the Philippines from the looks of it, not sure about other countries.

Monster Hunter Rise is only 4 dollars during the steam autumn sale, and getting the bundle with the expansion is less then 10 dollars

It's surprisingly intuitive despite being... well... touch. The only issue this game really has is that it doesn't let you turn off the lock-on camera when mounting, it's a bit harder to hit walls with your target monster. But overall? Definitely playable and more than enough to finesse with it. (Even almost got 5 mins in Magnamalo's 7* arena quest, the move chain just screwed me over.)

It was a bit random because i just launched MH wilds on our xbox that we haven't played on in a few months.

I started a random quest and he got interested in this game, i even let him play to check out the longsword on Jyuratodus, tobi kadachi and Anjanath.

We lost track of time and played like that until 3 am talking about monster hunter, after that we decided to buy rise (I've already played it whole on Switch, but didn't had it on PC)

Next day we spend almost 9 hours playing it and even another friend joined us as well

Probably not gonna get more than 1 playthrough in before ascendance launches and I want to know the best handful of weapons to check out during the span of the playthrough.

"Peaked" doesn't have to refer to power, it can be C-tier in terms of power if it has an S-tier feel to play with.

I tried the game for funsies since I already played the game on Switch, PC and Playstation. I used longsword and it was the most miserable gameplay ever.

I consider myself a 6th Fleet Hunter, despite technically starting out in Rise

Tried the demo before, but then dropped it because my hits are just everywhere besides the monster

Few years later, finally got Wilds, and then I finally stuck to it thanks to Focus

Decided to give the Rise demo another go, and even tho I could execute more complicated and more damaging moves, they still whiff a lot

How do you actually aim hits?

This was a bit of a self imposed wall, but after fighting Valstrax after wanting to for so long, I finally hit a wall. I told myself that I would not move further up in Sunbreak until I had beaten him, and man let me tell yall, this dude kicked my ass so many times, and yet not once did I think “this fight is bullshit.” Every cart was a learning experience, and I started fighting him over and over and over, abandoning the quest after two carts. But this time, it felt different, I already carted twice, but I told myself “I’ve cut off his tail, I’ve broken so many parts, I think I can kill
him.” And well, here is the result!!

Like the buildup with the singing vocals, the screen getting a deep red flush as the shamisen in the back goes INSANE, the sound of the rain and thunder becoming DEAFENING as we get a good look at Amatsu's form, the vocals reaching a crescendo as the lightning strikes illuminate it from behind, the pose itself from Amatsu, the name LOOMING CALAMITY, god just everything works so well and I don't know a single other cutscene from the series that builds such an amazing atmosphere for a boss

I posted this in the rise subreddit and now here too, hopefully we can get enough attention to it.

If enough people do a request for this, there is a chance they might take a look at it. It would be a cakewalk for them. They just need to unlock the frame rate or lock it to 60, which the Switch 2 could easily hit. Potentially a slight resolution bump, it would take them no effort at all. Let's make this happen!

Im astonished that they actually ported this to mobile, especially with outlanders about to come out lol. But i couldn't wait any longer (in the US) so I downloaded it to give it a try with my backbone controller. Surprisingly runs pretty well, there are some stutters ive gotten when you initially load up.
