How to bulk-remove approved users?

I have a somewhat unique case.

Previous mod team approved thousands of users and I would like to remove their approved status.

I've already manually removed a couple thousand at least, but there are still so many.

Is there any way to do it all at once?

The reason I would like to do this is the sub was seemingly being used to run scam/spam stuff and I just want to start over without that influence.

Thanks in advance.

I did find something helpful on the "app store."

I think this will do a lot of the heavy lifting for me after it hits 1 month (minimum trigger length).

After that, I will use the script option shared in the comment here: https://www.reddit.com/r/ModSupport/s/qX0bnidJwK

There isn't a way. Each by each is the only way.

You can do it with a script, don't know how to do it exactly but I asked chat gpt to help me to built a verification system to verify some users in some subreddits I moderate, the script approve and give a verified flair when I input an user, and I did other script to un-approve( no ban) the same users but in both cases the script ask me the users, in this case don't know if there's a way to un-approve all of them, but you can try, BTW there's a limit of requests, how many users do you plan to remove?

No way to tell, but I'm guessing at least 5k more to go.

The required script is on this post below. It worked for me fine when I used it a couple of years ago.

I removed thousands of users this way and it took a couple of hours for the process to finish.

Thank you! I will look into this option.

That does look promising, but also don’t be surprised if it fails. Reddit has mad a lot of backend changes in 3 years, so whatever that was able to do then, doesn’t mean it will work now.

The script manipulates the front-end web UI as if it were a human. The back end shouldn't matter.

There is not a way to do that to my knowledge.
