/r/ModReserves Welcome and Introductions Thread!

Hello there, and welcome to /r/ModReserves, seasoned, new, and future members of the Reserves alike!

This is a public subreddit for moderators, intended to be a place to socialize and discuss the Moderator Reserves program. Up until now, members of the Reserves have been "siloed" for the most part, meaning you all did not have opportunities to meet your fellow Reserve members unless you had responded to the same request in the past.

So let's change that! While there is not a public roster of members available at this time, please feel free to say hello and introduce yourself, any subreddits you moderate, or share your thoughts about the program.

And of course, thank you all for being a part of the Mod Reserves! <3

P.S All members should find yourselves with "Mod Reserves Member" flair in this subreddit. If you don't have flair, and meet the criteria, please fill out this form to apply. (Applications typically take ~1 week to process.)

Heya,

I sent in a form a few weeks ago and I definitely fit all the criteria, I noticed that the waiting time is a week long but I haven’t heard anything back yet, could I possibly have some admin help?

Thank you 🙂

Sorry! I have been behind on going through the last batch of applications, but I'll try to get to them soon.

Hey again! I just wanted to double check and ask how moderator callouts are received. Do we get them by message or email?

Just want to make sure beforehand, just in case! =)

Hi there, I'm Trey, moderator of r/Marketing, r/LeadGeneration, and r/Clickfraud.

My job and passion is detecting and preventing click fraud, and I ban thousands of bots from r/Marketing every month, so let me know if you need help detecting and banning bots. I can also share my automoderator keyword list with you to catch all the stealthy bots shilling their owners' products and services.

Hello! I just got accepted in and am very happy to be here to help out. The largest sub I mod is r/CivVI and recently joined up with r/CivVII with the be game release coming in a few months! I also mod a more niche sub being r/Gardyn. I’m looking forward to the experience this program provides and helping out subs in need!

Hi! Just saw that my application got in a few hours ago and I'm glad to be a part of the program!

I'm mainly moderating Nintendo related subreddits such as r/Mario and r/mariokart (and since a few years already!) but I'm still open for moderating other topics! Happy to help if needed!

I was accepted into Mod Reserves and only now noticed this sub here. Thank you for accepting me. I’m excited to contribute!

After several years of hearing good things about the programme from fellow mods, I thought it would be fun to learn how other teams operate and to provide support where needed. I'm quite glad to be here and eager to be useful!

I am a fairly quiet person IRL and like being that way. I spend my free time thinking about books, more books, television, and food (especially cheese and meat).

Hey, hey, hey.. looking forward to helping out!

I mod in the personal finance and careers related subs for ~5 years. This program seems to be a good chance to gain additional / different experience without the burden of being on the mod team permanently.

... but I have to admit I didn't consider signing-up until the trophy was announced. 😆

EST based here and happy to help out where I can!
