Mods may or may not allow this, as Giannis isn’t a current member of your team, but I thought you all would know best. I read in several r/NBA threads then heard Jeff Teague’s comments about Giannis, but a lot of people mention Giannis doesn’t set screens for PNRs. Why is that?
He is big and strong and while still physically a bit lanky despite his stature seems like he could set some pretty bone crushing screens, but apparently he didn’t for Dame? Is it the contact that would come with rolling hard with intention? Lobs are likely not great fun to catch for him as I’m sure he gets hammered inside every time.
But in the absence of those, it does make an offense less dynamic. Did he ever do this and then stop once the “walls” were built to account for his towards rim movement? Any idea whether this is simply something he is not used to doing or would he just nix the idea completely?
Jeff Teague mentioned not enjoying playing with Giannis. Giannis doesn’t play like Jimmy, but is a better player overall way more talented athletically. I know Jimmy’s thing was always, making the right play and trying to get others involved. Is Giannis just more a bulldozer? He gets assists, but they are different.
Anywho, it’s been cool watching Bucks games and I like the four Heatles still, but Kuz is hard to watch. Idk what it is about his game…
Totally fine if ya’ll rather just bash our fanbase or the Heat generally or not want to answer about Giannis, but I thought you all would know best.
