I wanted to pull starters down 25 to keep an injury from happening. That's why I'm not a NBA coach I guess. Jesus Christ what a comeback

You can say a lot of true things about Doc Rivers but he has massive balls for no reason sometimes

I feel like people who gauged their mood on the markets are all time depressed. gotta look to other things in life

Just got home from the game...the 4th quarter was insane! We were on our feet the entire time. My voice is so sore.
What a game.

The Key is legitimately not playing Brook & Kuz in any important moments
35
u/wolfpack_57 Apr 09 '25
Brook can play important moments against like 8 centers in the league lol

u/Ok-Grade1476 Apr 09 '25
Brook is good defensively. For a comeback, he is not the answer.

He is good defensively… at the rim… once he steps outside of the paint he becomes a terrible defender.

it will be interesting to see if that does anything to the rotation. They rode the fourth quarter with the bench and Giannis.

With Brook's speed going from 0.5x to 0.25x the last couple of years we're at a point where defense might actually be better with Bobby against playoff teams.
Brook has always been a liability against 5-out offenses (which 3 of the 4 East teams ahead of us run), but now he even struggles against athletic centers. He's still a great piece to have for the regular season thanks to his durability, but it's time to move on from him as a starter in the playoffs.

Sims at center?

u/Jalinja Apr 09 '25
What the Bucks really need is <offseason acquisition> at center

not sure if there's good bigs at our budget in FA, outside of a trade we'd have to draft one with our 2nd next draft or hope Smith develops.

There is no quit in this team!
Put Dame in there as a deadly spot up shooter and let KPJ cook. As much as I love Dame … I’m looking towards the future and all I see is SWAG!!!

Dame is a horrendous spot up shooter though
I feel more comfortable with him doing a step back 3 over a 7 footer than I do with him hitting a wide open spot up shot.

Good point.
I’m a huge fan of last nights death lineup with Porter Jr/Trent Jr/Green/Portis/Giannis
That’s the lineup I’d love to see when Dame is off the floor.
Dame is needed as he is an easy 20+ point scorer in his sleep, but KPJ has showed enough lately to cut slightly into Dame’s minutes and have a defined role on this team.

This game reminded me of that playoff? game against the raptors many years ago when Kidd was still the coach. Came back from down 25 to tie it but then Young Giannis and Khris just couldn’t close it out. This time we did and it feels great

I remember the crowd in the game being super quiet in the first 3 quarters. Then the 4th started and me and this guy behind me started chanting defense. We kept going until the Bucks went on a little run.
After that, AJ Green hit a bombshell of a 3 and the crowd exploded. I love going to games like these. The Bucks had me in the 1st half ngl though

good on the bucks and my God the Timberwolves fans must be fuming. They really needed that game and they crapped that bed four different ways.

Down 24 with 10 minutes left. Definitely the biggest comeback I ever seen the Bucks make.

Until the final buzzer, it’s always 50/50. Either ya win or ya don’t. Learned that logic from my grandpa. It’d be high noon on a mid July 90 degree day in northern Wisconsin and he’d say 50/50 chance of snow today. It either is gonna or it’s not 🤣

So glad to have Bobby back, almost shedded a tear with that last 3 😂

I was on nba talk calling a Jordan stan out for being even worse then a lebron stan. We settled at him being a pippen stan.
Bucks were getting crushed and I was in my reddit zone...
Somehow...Telemundo got on my TV. 😆
I snapped back to reality and the Bucks where winning and then won.
In the mean time...Jon Horst turned marjon beauchamp into the player we all hoped he would become...
KPJ!...KPJ!...KPJ!

This type of win this late in season is just what the dr. Ordered for the squad. Wouldn't be surprised at all if they go on a run playing with ultimate confidence. How can you get rattled being down after a night like tonight and it wasn't vs the G League Pelicans either it was vs a healthy legit Western conference contender!! Unbelievable!!!!

Yes, I lost faith and stopped watching the game at the end of the third quarter. Woke up the next morning and check my daily NBA app stats and was very surprised. We have been playing good and the Bucks are looking pretty good.
