Tech sight issue

Hey guys so I had a tech sight on my mini (it’s a 586 series so it has the mini200 model I think) but I took it off to play with an LPVO. Didn’t like it so wanted to go back to iron sights. TLDR. I ended up snapping the screw off the main sight. And stripped one of the windage screws.

My question is, What size are the windage screws and the main T-Torx Screw.

If you somehow managed to strip the screws putting it on, then I am guessing you do not have an inch-lb torque wrench. Make sure to get one.

Also, I am confused about "stripped one of the windage screws", since the Tech Sight only has one windage screw, and it is able to be adjusted without tools. Do you mean the set screws towards the front? These just keep the sight from shifting and do not get adjusted to set windage.

I was super tired, yes I ment the set screws that keep the sight in place on the side. Also, I was following the video from gunblue on YT, I’ve not seen any published inch lbs torque specs. If you have em I’d be more than grateful for em

I suggest 12-15 inch-lbs.

Seems kind of light for an iron sight mount.

I used a torque spec calculator that takes the screw size and materials as factors. The main screw is only a #5 so the torque might be less than expected. When I put in values for the #8 gas block screws the result is right in the middle of Ruger's spec, so I'm inclined to trust its calculation.

The sight is not under any significant mechanical stress, so a lower screw torque should be fine. The side set screws will keep it from shifting.

From Tech-Sight website. Looks like items 12 & 14 from the photo. Might as well get them from Tech-Sights. Hope you do well with getting the main screw out, they are good sights as you probably know. Funny, I went the same route with my Mini. Red dot, LPVO and back to the Tech-Sights.

That’s very funny I did go from red dot, to LPVO, to now irons when I get my screws from TS. Thanks for the spec sheets I really appreciate it.
