does this include the physical game? i genuinely wanna know because i don’t have the digital game

What they should have just done is just add an upgrade pack, not a totally entirely different game. Like, how hard can it be or, in other words, how incompetent could you be to not be able to port just a simple version of Minecraft over to a Switch 2, which by the way, is very compatible with Switch 1. Let's not also start talking about how previously in previous interviews, when they were talking about console editions, they said they were going to stop with that because it was actually discontinuing because it was actually a non-smooth way of operating their game they said. So they said let's just make it one game that you have to buy it once and now you'll own it forever, and they'll keep updating it. But if you have the Minecraft Switch 1 update, you will probably stop receiving updates in like 5 years or something, I don't know, you know what I'm talking about.

So as I'm sure most know that Minecraft on Switch 2 finally released (technically yesterday) and I have been trying to get the game too look good but also run fine on it

Does anyone know the best settings for VV on this? to make it look good but run good FPS? please let me know

Hello guys! Somehow my inbox always appears like this… I’ve tried signing in an out all a lot of diferente stuff but it does not change! For context I’m playing Minecraft for the switch on my switch 2 and it doesn’t give me the discount code for the switch 2 version… Any ideia how to fix it?

For some reason I can't join custom servers on the switch 2.

Edit 1: Vibrant Visuals can be turned off completely while not in a world from settings. Setting the graphics mode to Fancy and FPS to Unlimited from here will give you up to 120 FPS and a max. render distance of 28 chunks! The controls and responsiveness in the game are also just like S1 edition in this mode. Thanks to TabouletVR in comments for that. The settings below are specifically for Vibrant Visuals.

The Switch 2 Edition‘s default setting presets are low-key terrible, either heavily downscaled or just not running smooth.

On top of that, if Vibrant Visuals doesn’t run too well, the responsiveness, controls, building-and-breaking bugs and everything takes a very noticeable hit.

My settings don’t use high settings, but I think they work much smoother and look pretty great at the same time.

Framerate limit: 50/55 FPS. Not quite 60, but the game seems to sit around 40-50 inconsistently and constantly varying otherwise. Setting it to 50 gets the smoothest experience I’ve managed to find so far.

Framerate note: Unlimited FPS is the least stable fps setting. Setting it to locked 60 will feel better than Unlimited as far as I can see

Shadow Quality: Low

Cloud Range: Medium

Volumetric Fog Quality: Low

Reflections: Off

Resolution: Native. I was so glad this option was here, because oh my goodness the automatic scaling mode on S2 looks awful.

Render Distance: 16 Chunks

Render Distance note: This does have a huge impact on Vibrant Visuals performance. If you don’t mind low RD (for me, closer fog can make it feel like I’m more of an explorer sometimes). 10/8 chunks can sometimes push VV to a smooth 60fps.

Render Clouds and Fancy Leaves on

I also find the default brightness way too bright on the S2 screen and have it set to 70%.

Hope this helps anyone else who was definitely not expecting that default experience…

It's kinda dog honestly like if it's on performance I can't see much of a game difference of it's on visuals it lags so bad it's not worth playing honestly it's a let down it doesn't feel like they optimize the game whatsoever

Minecraft Switxh 2 just came out and even tho is visually stunning, the lag is annoying. I still miss that OG minecract.

For context who dosent know if you bought minecraft Digitaly you get it the Upgrade for free while if you bought it pysical have to buy for (in my county) 20€ but why? What do you get in the "discounted" ultimate Edition? Some add ons 5 skins and 1000 minecoins and that for 20€ is just a scam i mean the 5 add ons are nice but it will just stay and collect dust on my console and i think im not the only one they could just make the normal Version also for free for pysical players but ig they cant bc they are money hungry again hopefully they notice the backlash and make it free for pysical owners

So far I’m having really fun on Minecraft and with the 28 render distance it is really lifesaver for me since I am used to the 12 render distance.

It’s smooth, it looks good and it’s actually playable and with vibrant visuals it looks okay and if you want my settings to get a smooth experience, you copy these settings.

Todo en bajo, sin nubes, 75% de resolucion, 16 chunks, vibrant visuals, bloom al 0% y limite de fotogramas 50, 55, 60 (si lo ponen en ilimitado da tirones muy feos)

Pueden haber muchos mobs o items en el suelo pero cuando spawnean hay

Si su mundo esta abanzado o es tecnico tendran que o forzar los fps a 50fps o poner la resolución en 66% para mantener los 60 fps de forma un poco mas constante

Did anyone find a possible fix for the mail infinitely loading and the upgrade not appearing?

ive tried rebooting the game,and logging in and out from my microsoft account, still no luck.

Still waiting on the physical upgrade invite. If anyone has tips or ideas of things I need to do to make it appear let me know. Im US based

So ive upgraded my minecraft on the Nintendo switch to the Nintendo switch 2 version and now the only thing it has is my worlds and nothing else not my avatar, addons, texture packs not even minecoins to get actions and stuff back.

Is this something common or specific to Nintendo switch?

I've been trying to force that notification into existence for like 4 hours now. I restarted the game, I updated the game, I tried multiple different internet connections, I entered worlds, entered servers, let it sit for an hour, even restarted my switch 2 and I'm still stuck on this screen with the side bar not loading. I was so excited to try the Switch 2 version today but seems like I won't be able to get it unless it fixes it self somehow. Does anyone have the same problem and was anyone able to fix it? Thanks in advance.

It’s release day, 1:34 pm rn in Italy, and the game is still not out, I have only a few hours of free time for playing this game, I hate Mojang and Microsoft so much.
