Page 110

In a Multiple Combat, if one model wishes to declare they are Shielding, then all friendly models must do so. If some of them cannot, then no models may declare they are Shielding. Models that are Shielding cannot be Supported.

To answer your question: A shielding model cannot receive spear support. It doesn't matter whether the supporting model has a shield or not.

You cannot gain the extra Duel Roll die from a spear support while Shielding in a combat.

All friendly models directly involved in a combat must "Shield together". If any of your models in a combat cannot Shield then none of them can.

A spear-supporting model with a shield cannot shield while supporting: supporting models are not considered directly involved in the combat.

According to Page 110 of the Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game Rules Manual (2024 edition), under Weapons and Wargear under Shields/Shielding "Models that are Shielding cannot be Supported.”

Hope that helps!

Also to note models that are supporting with spears do not count as being in combat, so if you have line of sight you can shoot them out
