Discussion πŸ—£οΈ Every Place I've worked at Over the Past 30 years is Gone...

With the recent announcement of another tier 1 automotive supplier exiting Michigan today, it occurred to me that every company I have worked for, since I was 17 (1980 Xennial, btw), in any meaningful / impactful way, is gone. All that's left is a small Pet Supply store in my hometown that I worked at when I was 14/15. This little slice of personal trivia is sobering and sad. That is all.

Filmed near downtown Fenton, MI. Makes you wonder how many smashed pumpkins were blamed on neighborhood kids! (I have a video, but this dun doesn't allow it)

I present to you, the most important pumpkin carved in Michigan this year. To celebrate the season and the opening of the Gordie Howe Bridge, I figured there is no better way than to combine the two for a bit of pun magic.

I will be charging a small toll for viewers of the bridge at my home.

I've been getting into drone photography more and more over the last year. You can bet I was excited to take it back to my hometown of North Muskegon and capture some of my favorite places. This preserve has a special place in my and my family's heart and it was and always will be called "The Swamp." Now called the Muskegon Nature Preserve some of the quiet trails a few miles from my house has been transformed to a busy bike path and walking area. With the old bones still there and a few of my favorite paths now over grown or..paved over, it is still a beautiful park to walk through. Especially if you can beat the crowd. I grew up walking many of those trails when they were dirt. I remember the board walks being put in the first time and its funny to now be the parent pointing that out when I see the "Established at this date" plaques. This was where I found my first geocache which to this day is a hobby my family enjoys. Where so many of my childhood moments were spent. I had a great time seeing it from this angle for my first time and I hope you all do too!

Weather πŸŒ€οΈβ›ˆοΈβš‘οΈπŸŒˆ Once Again, The September Like Weather Refuses to completely End this October and Early November.

Two years ago, We had temps in the 80s near Halloween, It looks like the middle 70s will be back again starting today with a slight cool down around Halloween before the 70s come back again after the clock change. To me, this is way too warm especially after this weekend's clock change. We already broke a record on October 13th and will probably see more get broken next week. Might not see temps in the 50s during the day until Friday of Next week. While some trees did manage to get their colors, others got ruined by the heat this year in addition to little to no rain since earlier in the Month in Southeast Michigan. It's so frustrating when you know November is Approaching and you are still in shorts and a T-shirt at a time of year when a coat is worn.
