the thingy in the middle

So the album is 40 years and 10 months now, whats the best song for y'all?

There's an M on the ride the lightning cover. How have I never realised?

Night one at the sphere. Visuals were mostly really well done. This is the view from section 307

I got gifted this album by a friend of mine

I was ment to post this yesterday, but i just forgor and besides i was busy... Anyways. Lets keep remembering Cliff as a legendery beast playing on a bass.

It apparently is an electric chair. Makes sense because one of the lyrics of one of the songs in the album was "strapped to the electric chair" if i recall correctly.

Hey there fellow metallica heads- let's talk about THAT one riff in Fight fire with fire, you already know which one I'm talking about (especially if you play guitar). Has anyone here figured it out perfectly? Is it more of a feel thing? I heard from Carl at Guitarlessons365 its more of a loose and feel riff than pure locked in precision. Is that true?

For context I'm a Rhythm player, James Hetfield, Malcom Young and Jeff Hanneman are my biggest inspirations and I've been playing for 5 years. I think I'm starting to figure it out but I'm not so sure- who here is with me or who has figured it out?

When was the first time you seen metallica live?

Just listened to the whole album once again and now am faced with this question. Personally I think either Creeping Death or Fade to Black.

I’m curious to hear what other people think

Before he became a black metal icon in Norway, Per Yngve Ohlin was just a Swedish metalhead blasting thrash. Here he is in his room, smiling (which is rare on its own!) with Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets era posters clearly visible in the background. It's always cool to see how influential Metallica was to the pioneers of extreme subgenres.

It's got such a great knocking groove, chunky riffs, dope singing by his Majesty Hetfield. The lyrics just became my mantra lately. Put it in live rotation Lars!

I think I just found the perfect shoes to take to the Seattle show!

Mines fight fire with fire. I just like the fastness of the song and all the down picking.
