Still a bit choppy, anyone else ever mess around with tapped arpeggios?

Finally got myself a pointy battle axe! Already made the switch to an EMG 81 and 85 but contemplating if I should dye the fretboard black (see last ai-pic). I am a sucker for black fingerboards and also did this to my RR3 with good results. Also the shape is really comfortable for playing in a classical position!

Btw. It's sitting in D Standard for my melodic death metal needs (insomium, amorphis, omnium gatherum...) 🤘

I have the opportunity to get one of my two dream guitars but I’m honestly pretty split on which one to get.

Option one: Gibson 80s explorer loaded with het set, in a beautiful solid black. I’ve wanted an explorer forever and this one is a beauty

Option two: Alexi Laiho hexed Ltd in purple I love this shape and I’ve been wanting an Ltd for a while now, and purple is my favorite color. Only downside is that I don’t tend to like signatures, but this is the only reasonable way I can get this version of an Ltd V

I’ve had the Ibanez for almost 10 years and love it so much. The neck is fast, flat, and feels like the old school wizard necks. The generic mockingbird has been with me for a couple months. I changed out the pickups for GFS Power Rails and I could not be more happy with it. It’s sounds so chunky and the tuning amazingly stable. I like to keep the both in drop A#.

Hey there, just looking for a cheaper metal guitar, as I have my main one all sorted and upgraded, and just looking for some advice, or answers on what guitar might be best bang for my buck.

I am tired of making bands work and never standing on a stage yet releasing music anywhere.

apologies ahead of time if this is a common/boring question, i scrolled around the sub for a while and didn’t see any posts about it. i’m a newbie when it comes to guitar, so i don’t really know what’s out there, but i’ve been thinking of replacing my strings. i just replaced the strings on my bass (because i got it off FB marketplace, and the strings it came with were VERY old) and holy shit, the difference is incredible. now i’m wondering if i should get a fresh set of strings on my guitar before i record some music.

either way, i’d love all your string-related thoughts and opinions, hot takes, etc!

Picked up this Jackson King V today. after set up. I’ve been really impressed with it. Love the neck, love the 22 frets (typically run 24 fret guitars).It really inspires a guy to play. I say that because I’m novice at best. Quality axe!

Whats better statistically, feel wise, sound wise etc.

Always wanted a pointy type, ive played a mates xiphos and its awesome, never touched a warrior. Both are available to me, but the warrior is almost 1/3 of the price of the xiphos. Got a feeling it's a get what you pay for situation. Thoughts and wisdom?
