Discussion Even at her palest, I never understood how anybody thought Mariah was a fully white woman.

I feel like people were, and still are, blinded by the pale skin color because when she gets a tan, I can see her Black features clear as day. Maybe it's because I know plenty mixed and even monoracial folk DOWN who look like her, but even while she's paler than a sheet I can still tell she's Black.

She's been saying she's part-Black since 1990 and people STILL refuse to believe her or even spread the falsehood that she's 25% black when in actuality she's HALF; she's triethnic and biracial, not a quadroon. Venezuelan is not a race. I also think she looks nothing like her mom and every bit like her dad and paternal grandmother. And also the last photo is of her as a kid; in what universe is that a white child???

Sorry, it just grates on my nerves to see people still erasing Mariah's Blackness in almost 2027. Especially considering what she went through in her childhood despite being "passing."

EDIT 8/16/26: Jesus fucking Christ y’all have become so fucking annoying underneath this post. And so many of y’all have revealed yourselves to be racist as fuck. And why does this post have 200k views and nearly 600 comments? I wish the mods would just goddamn lock it because I’m tired.

Discussion What’s the 4th best album outside the Holy Trinity that most Lambs agree on?

I think it’s clear that the majority of the Lambily would say that TEOM, Daydream and Butterfly are her 3 best albums but what I see at 4th place is always different so what do you think deserves the 4th spot and why? I’m excited to see what you think

People in tiktok calling Mariah a 1 hit wonder, been pissing me off. This is why I can’t take people in tiktok seriously, like in what world is THEE MARIAH a 1 hit wonder? The same Mariah who has 19 1# hits and wrote 18 of those hits and has hundreds of awards?. Like I know they better not be playing in Mariah’s internet. And the funny thing is most of these people disrespecting her are either white people or MAGA people.

Discussion Experiences Meeting Mariah at Barnes & Noble

Post image
455 Upvotes

Hey everyone, want to preface this by saying this is NOT a hate post or intended to cause negativity in any way, just discussion.

I’m feeling a ways about my experience meeting Mariah on Saturday. I’m really really grateful to have had the opportunity and know so many people would have killed for the chance to meet her.

But my interaction with Mariah on Saturday just left me feeling empty and kind of sad. At first I thought the sunglasses and the gum chewing was kind of fun, like very classic diva Mariah that we all love.

But I just felt like when I tried talking to her she couldn’t care less about what I was saying and just seemed uninterested and not very happy to be there.

I know they have a lot of people to get through and time is of the essence, but I had the opportunity to go to the Caution signing and she seemed a lot more present and was very gracious and kind. So I just can’t help but feel sad about my interaction this time around, and I kind of wish that Caution signing was my sole memory of meeting her.

I know she doesn’t owe us anything but I’m just trying to navigate loving her so much and enjoying the new album with this new memory of a not great interaction, and I would appreciate any advice. I do know I shouldn’t take it personally and she was just busy, it’s just hard not to I guess when you feel such a personal connection to a singer.

I have seen some things online about people having some great and some not so great experiences on Saturday, so I’d like to hear what your guys’ experiences were like, and even if you weren’t there I welcome any advice. If you had a great experience, I’m really happy for you!!
