I’m working on my armor set and of course I had to try leather working also… this is my first attempt at leather and it was all hand sewn. Not perfect, but still pretty good overall.

Working on a updated helmet. First one was PLA and done with my rough knowledge of sanding and finishing. I’ve learned a lot since then so I made a new helmet in PETG and spent a lot longer on the finishing side of things. It’s not perfect, and I hit some issues along the way, but it’s so much better! Just need to add the visor and pads before it’s finished!
Last two pics are helmet 2.0 next to the original.

Hey Mandalorians!
I’m an Australian Year 12 student, looking for some help!
I’m inquiring about cosplay design. For my School Year 12 Major project, I’m taking on the difficult challenge of designing and creating an entirely new Bounty Hunter Suit Costume in honour of the 50th Star Wars anniversary celebration in 2027, and I’ve made it my goal to get nominated for the New South Wales SHAPE awards (Best in State awards simplified).
And I would love YOUR help on how I create custom parts for my liking. I have a design In which is possible, considering I have access to a 3D printer, Laser Cutting and other tools that can help!
Kind Regards
- nedwood

My very first build, I am very beginner, don’t judge! I still have some work to do…including cleaning glue bits off, but helmet is getting there, and chest plate is done. Took me about 12 hours yesterday,

I am doing the book of Boba Fett version of Boba (file from galactic armory) and the Jepack latches onto the back piece, and it kind of locks in and is held together with gravity, and I’m sure it stays in place fine, but I am very paranoid about it falling and was curious if anyone just welds/glues their jetpack to their back piece at all, and if that presents any new or different challenges. Let me know what you guys prefer and what you guys like. Thank you.

sorry for posting on here so often this week, and even today, on my free days I enjoy doing my hobbies 😅 anyways, here is my very ugly mythosaur skull! the sectioni in the middle for the nose and stuff collapsed so it’s not defined but I tried to save it

I've just received my helmet that was custom printed for me from an Etsy shop. The quality is great, but it seems way too big despite having sent the seller my head measurements. Generally speaking, how much space should there be in your helmet to add things like helmets pads, a fan etc?

For long term goals (still working on my first armor pieces) I would like to have several electric components (dream list below) and it would be nice to control them all from one location.
I'm thinking a phone app connected to an arduino or raspberry pi that controls the components. Has anyone here done something similar or would I have to start from scratch?
Parts I would like to add someday:
-Rear facing microbead camera & micro led screen
-Zoom camera & screen for fold down targeter
-Visor heater to prevent fogging
-Helmet fans for cooling
-Cooling loop for undersuit
-Microphone and headphones
-Speaker
Anyone know a place to start? I would prefer android/python but I'm not picky and willing to try other languages if that helps.

Season 3 of Mandalorian, Din shows the Armorer a glass shard he traded some jawas for that feature some mandalorian script. I assume this is either some sort of pottery or metal plate with the text still inscribed into it.
There are plenty of files out there to buy this thing and 3D print it out of a translucent green resin. But just like the Beskar ingots, using something other than 3D printed material, helps to go a long ways with authenticity.
I'm looking into DIY glass melting or an affordable kiln, while I have a handful of machines for making various things, Im not sure I want to get into another hobby.
I do have a very large collection of used Jager bottles from college that I saved to do something with one day. None of the glass from the bottle is thick enough to closely represent the show prop, but It isn't a far jump to having smaller or other shaped pieces of shards, with various slabs of text or other iconography "melted" into place or joined.
Curious to hear everyone's take on this and if it something anyone else would be interesting in purchasing or if it is too niche and not quite desirable? I could see some wanting the prop specifically and not "similar" pieces.
Also if anyone has a link to a place selling some that arent just 3D printed/resin, I'd love to see it.
Thanks!

I cant do a 3d model yet so I decided to make this mask out of cardboard I’m about 3 hours in. I made the template myself and have just been adding and cutting for hours. But uuuh yeah! I don’t like the eyes, as they didn’t turn out how I intended but otherwise I’m happy for the situation I built it in

Working really hard to get this done for the Georgia Ren Fest next weekend. I needed a little bigger helmet as my nose was pressing into the visor last time and I wanted to add a fan. I upgraded my painting techniques and I like the way its coming along. I accidently bought gloss poly spray so I'm going to get some matte and over spray it again.
Still need to work on the horn and the kill stripes.
Eventually I want to make a visor that looks like stain glass, have some ideas for that, but not enough time for this festival.
Would love some suggestions.

Hello all, I’m working on a mando cosplay I’ve printed a helmet and a copy of the din djarin chest piece.
My question is does the “abs” section of armor, attach to the chest plate?
Cause I’m looking at the pieces and they don’t quite fit together, but looking at a reference picture from the show it looks like the abs sit just under the chest plate, but almost awkwardly so.
Am I making sense, does anyone know what I’m talking about?

Everything here except the helmet and the pants was made by hand with sintra, cotton duck cloth, leather, and even small metal components.
