My vote is on fake. Also the intro music to this episode sounds weird.

I'm prefacing this with I know this will catch me some heat and I'm okay with that because I know the idea of Higgins being Robin is divisive. With that said...a lot of times when that theory is discussed it's at a surface level. He is or isn't...we don't dive into the idea. Let's say that Higgins was hypothetically Robin. That would mean that Higgins ultimately hired Magnum. Which when you look at the overall series, is a story onto itself. If the idea is true that means that Higgins saw Magnum as a project. He saw a man trying to find himself after years in the military. A former intelligence officer wasting his potential as a private investigator. Higgins could help him find himself through tough love and guidance. It reframes much of those early seasons where they were almost adversaries at times. Into a commander helping to shape a soldier who isn't reaching their potential. Just a thought at 6:54 am on a Wednesday.
