I learnt the mnemonica stack a few years ago but because I don't perform regularly I'm not as fast with it as I once was.

I built a passive flashcard widget for my phone (free / open source / not on the Google Play store) that you're wlcome to use as well. Whenever you unlock your phone you get a new card<>number combo that slowly reveals after 2.5 seconds, giving you time to try and recall the pair.

I have a lot of experience performing magic for strangers, but this is the first year where I've started being paid for it. I've only done a few paid gigs, and they were all private house parties, ranging from 35 minute close-up shows to walk-around gigs. Thankfully, all of them went extremely well. Since I'm a college student, I would like to try to turn this into a side hustle. My plan was to visit some pubs/bars in my area during quiet hours, ask to see the manager, then pitch the idea of having a magician entertain customers. I printed business cards which have my social media and contact info. I was also planning to make the first session free of charge. Does anyone have any further tips? Anything will be appreciated!
