Modmod Moderating for MODonSTONK
I've recently started moderating a subreddit dedicated to $MOD/RDDT.
Honestly, it's been the best decision of my life.
My girlfriend says I spend too much time online. My boss says my productivity has declined. My mother keeps asking when I'm going to "get a real job."
None of them understand.
I'm not unemployed.
I'm a moderator.
The first time I felt it was during a routine spam sweep.
A user had posted a low-effort meme with the wrong ticker.
I stared at the screen.
Wrong.
Ticker.
My fingers hovered over the keyboard. I could feel the adrenaline rushing through my veins.
I opened the mod tools.
Remove post.
Ban user.
Mute for 28 days.
I sat back in my chair and exhaled.
Justice.
Then I noticed the notification.
"New voice chat starting soon."
I immediately sat upright.
The voice chat.
The sacred gathering of people who understood the vision. People who knew that while the rest of crypto was chasing whatever dog-themed coin had pumped 400% that morning, we were thinking about Reddit, the treasury, buybacks and the long game.
I joined immediately.
"What's up, everyone?" I said into my microphone.
Silence.
I checked my audio settings.
"Can you hear me?"
Someone replied, "Yeah."
I nodded solemnly.
The community was functioning.
For the next hour, we discussed the project, the progress toward 2% in buybacks, and the upcoming lock.
I took notes.
Actual notes.
My therapist would have been proud.
I explained that building a community takes time, that the long term vision matters more than the next green candle, and that everyone should check the official sources for the details.
Someone said, "Makes sense."
I nearly cried.
Someone had listened to me.
After the voice chat ended, I checked the subreddit.
Three new posts.
Two comments.
One report.
I cracked my knuckles.
The world outside my window was dark. My takeaway was cold. My back hurt in places I didn't know existed.
But the mod queue was clean.
I looked at the screen and whispered:
"Build the community. Reward holders with RDDT. Keep building."
Then another notification appeared.
A new user had joined the subreddit.
I smiled.
Somewhere out there, a person had discovered $MOD/RDDT.
A person who might join the next voice chat.
A person who might one day understand why 2094 matters.
I opened the mod tools.
Not because I had to.
Because I was ready.
Because I was committed.
Because, for once in my life, I was part of something bigger than myself.
Then my phone buzzed.
A message from my boss.
"You're fired."
I stared at it for a moment.
Then I opened Reddit.
There were two new comments.
My community needed me.

Weird smell
I've recently started moderating. My wife has left me and she took the kids, so getting my mind off the situation has been nice.
The first time I noticed the smell was when I banned a snarky, privileged subreddit user. At first it was just a mild annoyance, a tiny whiff of poo, similar to a silent but deadly.
I was delighted and satisfied with my work. Only 5 hours of scrolling my favorite subreddit's "New" section, and I'd already permanently banned 3 users and removed 11 comments.
I felt productive. Useful. Powerful, even.
But the smell was getting stronger.
I checked under my desk. Nothing. I checked my gaming chair. Nothing unusual, just the usual stains.
Then another notification appeared.
"Why was my post removed? I didn't break any rules."
My hands began trembling. The audacity. The entitlement.
I clicked his profile. 14,000 karma. Account age: 6 years.
He thought he was better than me.
I hovered over the ban button. My heart was pounding. A bead of sweat rolled down my forehead.
Permanently banned.
Suddenly, the smell intensified. A thick, warm wave of fecal matter filled the room. My eyes watered. My stomach churned.
But beneath the disgust, I felt something else.
Euphoria.
I realized the smell wasn't coming from my chair.
It was coming from me.
I hadn't stood up in 19 hours.
I tried to get out of my chair, but my legs wouldn't respond. The dried Mountain Dew had fused my sweatpants to the leather. My body had become one with my workstation.
Another notification.
"Moderator, can you please explain why I was banned?"
I smiled.
He called me moderator.
Not unemployed. Not divorced. Not a disappointment.
Moderator.
For the first time in months, someone had addressed me by my proper title.
I cracked my knuckles, opened the mod tools, and typed the most devastating sentence in the English language.
"Locked. Rule 4. Take it to modmail."
I leaned back, inhaled deeply, and closed my eyes.
The smell was unbearable now.
But I was home.
Then my phone buzzed.
It was my ex-wife.
"Please, the kids just want to speak to you."
I stared at the message for a moment.
Then I turned my phone face down.
There were 37 posts in the mod queue.
My community needed me.
Somebody had to keep Reddit safe.

Modmod From volunteers to shareholders $MOD/RDDT

Reddit runs on communities.
And communities run on moderators.
The people who build, protect, and maintain Reddit’s communities work for free while the platform generates value and shareholders reap the rewards.
It’s time to change that.
PAY. THE. MODS.

We’re turning the people behind Reddit into stakeholders in its future.
Introducing MOD/RDDT.
3% rewards tax
30% of supply locked in the Treasury until 2094
100% liquidity locked
The mission? Build a Treasury capable of acquiring enough Reddit stock to secure a seat at the boardroom table.
No more being overlooked. No more being taken for granted.
The people who keep Reddit alive deserve a voice in how it’s run.
Mods built the communities. Now it’s time to build their stake.

Modmod WE'RE BACK BABY
Re-launch completed.
We made sure to reimburse our only holder.
We are not out here to serial launch and rug.
Reason for the re-launch was to have the name and ticker better represent what these mods are about.

The reddit mod meme
The reddit mod meme is a long-standing internet trope, in which volunteer moderators on Reddit, exaggerating traits like power trips, social isolation, and extreme fragility.
Here are the core elements that define the meme:
- They do it for free
This is the ultimate foundation. Memes constantly highlight the absurdity of people working 16-hour days enforcing obscure forum rules for exactly $0.00/hour. They are often referred to as "janitors”, because they clean up spam for free.
- Powertrip
In internet culture, the Reddit mod is portrayed as someone who lacks authority in their real life and compensates by ruling their subreddit like an absolute dictator.
- The neckbeard stereotype
Reddit mods are almost universally drawn as the classic "internet neckbeard". overweight, wearing a fedora, living in a basement, and consuming a steady diet of Doritos and Mountain Dew.
- Over regulation and power Mods
Memes often target Power Mods, a small group of hyper-active users who moderate hundreds of the largest subreddits simultaneously. Community members joke that these mods control the entire platform's narrative and delete high-quality posts simply because they violated a minor formatting rule.
