Hey all, just joining in and really happy to find a community dedicated to the retainment of excellence that is the ME story and the MP side, in particular. With that being said, working through things and gotta ask - is there a PS5 MP capability? Community? Seeing a lot for PC or returning to PS3/Xbox 360 (reminds me of when I ran og ME3 on 360 days).
With EA seemingly moving on from Mass Effect, it's up to us, the community, to keep it alive.
We've created a dedicated Mass Effect Legendary Edition Multiplayer (LEMP) Discord, endorsed by PAYDAY, the mod creator, to bring players together, find squads, and build a community around the game we still love.
A game like this lives on because of its players. If we want LEMP to have a future, we need to band together, support the project, bring in new players, and make it easier for everyone to find a squad.
Whether you're a veteran or just returning to the fight, there's a place for you here. Every member helps us build a stronger, more active community.
Let's keep the community alive, keep the squads running, and show that we're not ready to let Mass Effect multiplayer fade away.
Probably opening a can of worms with this one but I feel bad for all you console hoppers that were hoping to play and import your console progress over.
Damn Bioware/N7HQ shutting down.... Console imports only lasted 3 days. YOU WAITED 14 AND HALF YEARS AND ONLY GOT 3 STINKING DAYS!!! Ah well.
LEMP creates local save files in \Documents\BioWare\Mass Effect Legendary Edition\Save\ME3
With the game closed you want to edit LEMP_mpsave.txt and LEMP_mpsave.bak.txt
You want to copy and replace everything from Base= to Challenge=1 from this document into these two files.
I don't understand googledoc's formatting with notepad, so it'll paste with a space in between each line. Remove the spaces and save. Once you're done with both files close them and boot up the game and when you're in LEMP you should have all weapons, characters and a healthy supply of consumables. This only effects the manifest. All challenges will be unchanged.
With the BioWare news this week, I got the legendary edition mp mod up and running and imported my old PS3 progress that I haven’t seen in over 10 years. It’s such a crazy feeling. Seeing all my old unlocks and gear after all this time instantly brought back so many memories.
Been having an absolute blast with this. If anyone is on the fence about setting it up, do it while N7HQ is still up - it holds up so well and the community is still great ❤️
I'm checking out the LEMP since it's only a matter of time before the ME3 servers go down for good. Amazing achievement, a few bugs but I can deal.
The biggest issue I'm having so far is the UI elements are all HUGE. I'm on 2560x1440 but all the UI elements are maybe 200-300% bigger than vanilla ME3MP. I've looked around in settings but can't find any way to tweak this.
Maybe it's actually the "correct" size and vanilla didn't scale correctly for larger screens?
Testing Pocket Relay and setting it up locally so I can save up my progress in the worst-case scenario where the servers would actually get shut down. Still have plenty of characters to pass Gold solo with and to play with my family. I will try out LEMP as well. Happy gaming and never let MP die! :)
I have more than 1,600 hours on ME3 and Andromeda multiplayer over the years on PC, but over the last couple of years when I've reinstalled the games my access to multiplayer has been blocked by EA. I get messages saying "An online pass is required to access online features of this game" for ME3 and "Missing Online Access. You are not allowed to access the online features of this game" for Andromeda.
I'm aware of the Bioware shutdown and how that might currently be affecting Andromeda at present. Regardless, this is a problem that predates this. A google search tells me this online access error can be rectified by getting EA help desk on the phone and having them make a correction on my profile, but I'm struggling to do that. All I can find in the way of help is useless online FAQs.
Has anyone had the same problem and, if so, how did you correct it? How do I get to a real person at EA?
