Another one joins the family
Had to part ways with my Cayman 🥲. The raw driving experience and horsepower upgrade was too hard to pass up.

Just picked her up two days ago. Really wanted a nimble, analog, two door manual car. 2026 V6 6MT. I am really excited to be a member! I've wanted an Emira since they came out, and an Elise and Exige long before that.

I recently picked up a '67 Elan, the price was right (free) and I've wanted this specific car for 2 decades.
At one point it was going to be restored however after removing everything for paint the man passed away, all the items removed were "lost" by his adult children and widow leaving it in this disassembled but primmed condition.
I have hopes of slowly putting it back together but am feeling a little overwhelmed given the sheer magnitude of it really needing EVERYTHING.
I'm hoping someone in the community can point me to a place for parts, also looking into alternatives (MG/Triumph/etc) that will work "good enough" not necessarily Lotus specific. Also any place to find exposed diagrams of everything so I know what all actually needs to go back in for things like the windows, dash, etc.
Thank you, and welcome to my Shit-Show!

Title saya it all! Mine is the blue one, way more of a track setup manual. Hers is a automatic. I drove it breifly and actually really enjoyed the automatic.
I have never seen her enjoy something as much as this car lol.

Not a single day do I come to the office and not say... "Wow, am I ever lucky to work here."

Hi everyone, just picked up the Emira, everything is fine so far.
The only thing that is driving me crazy is the power steering hydraulic pump wine. I think I’ve not had this when test driving. The noise is lower, when the steering has not touched for a few seconds. The pitch changes, when turning.
Looking forward to some feedback.

I am buying an Emira and am deciding between the Milltek and Valvetronic TI. I know though the police do not like loud exhausts in CA and wanted to know what people are getting away with in the The Bay Area?

….and it was AWSOME! Also fun fact the Emira and GTR are the exact same width.
We all know the audio in the Elise is terrible and needs some aftermarket accessories to make it better. The previous owner had an amp installed in the trunk, and the audio shop who installed it left so much extra wiring it’s crazy
I’m in the process of putting the amp behind the seats on the shelf (no net there), and am amazed how much extra length of wire is in the car. Surely it will be faster now with that weight removed. The third photo is after I pulled all the wires out of the trunk through the engine bay.
Couple photos of the car just because

Is it a good idea to get an Elise with this high mileage? The car looks stunning, owner seems very transparent, things like the head gasket (1.8 Rover K-Engine) have also been replaced. The car comes in british racing green with yellow racing stripes, has a Komo-Tec exhaust system. The owner is the first owner actually and the car has a complete service history at Lotus.
My question: is there anything substantial that could go wrong with such a vehicle? Rust of the body and chassis will definitely not be a problem I guess. We have a fully equipped car workshop at home, thus fixing things wont be a big deal. The owner wants 32 000€ here in Austria.

I was considering a 2026 V6 Emira and wanted to get feedback on what dealers are expecting with respect to MSRP? How much under can you buy one for in the US?

Hi all,
Looking for a bit of advice on the below.
My S2 Exige has thrown up the fault codes below all at once after a slightly spirited drive over the weekend.
- P0A00 Motor Electronics Coolant Temperature Sensor Circuit
- P000A A Camshaft Position Slow Response Bank 1
- P0600 Serial Communication Link
I’ve done a bit of digging and have a good idea how to deal with the temperature sensor code, but I’m a little unsure how best to approach the other two.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, or even a push in the right direction for resolving them!
Thanks in advance.

Didn’t want to take apart half the dash to remove the cage so I just decided to take snips to it.

Just an incredible bit of custom fabrication I happened across earlier today. An imported Series 1 Elise with a Ford Sigma Ecoboost engine swap. The clamshell was off because it was literally their first road test.

Hard to find the exact coolant, the forums said I can use the pictured coolant but I’d appreciate a second opinion. I also bought a replacement cap
As titled. Im wondering if any long term s3 elise owners can chime in on this. Im picking up a 2021 final edition elise next week, the previous owner had it color wrapped before and has it removed before transfering to me, and he strongly suggests getting some protection for the front clam and rocker panel/side skirts from rock chips.
But even those alone are not cheap to do them in a shop. So wondering how serious would the rock chips be? Or if someone tried precut PPF and putting them on themselves? I see Aliath on ebay is selling those.

1970 lotus 7 s3. 1.6L Ford.
My father passed away last year and he really wanted to keep his car in the family. Today I finally got it shipped to my place. He bought it new in 1970/71 and I remember him taking us for rides in it when we were kids. He loved this car. I'll be the next caretaker until I pass it down to the next generation in our family.
