I remember OGN (league korean pro scene stream) had it, if you weren't subbed you were maxed out at 480p. I think this was 5+ years ago now, maybe 7+

[u/Ice-Insignia]

Pirated sub only streams on YT

"okay guys don't forget to subscribe for pool stream"

[u/10kk → u/abonet619]

Unironically this will happen, people are gonna promise 'risque' streams if you sub.

[u/Painketsu]

Sub sundays about to take a whole new meaning for certain streamers

You can watch your favourite "Just Chatting" streamers for a private show, that's the next step :')

I knew this day was coming, back in November I got a survey which was filled with stuff like this. They were gauging interest on what kind of services on twitch people would pay for and how much they would spend.

I managed to screenshot a few of the things I found interesting, so you can expect to see these down the line:

• Being able to pause, play, rewind (DVR) a live stream just like youtube. For a price of course

• The real reason they removed ad free viewing from Twitch Prime. So they could charge you for it of course!

• [Monthly subscription to streams and videos for a streamer. Which is what this is, I'm assuming.] (https://i.imgur.com/MV5AN3b.png)

• [Private game coaching lessons from your favorite pro gamer!] (https://i.imgur.com/YtmzaCR.png)

I think that was the stuff that stood out to me but there was a lot more. They were also asking things about their OWL stuff, probably to see how much of a waste their investment was.

"Its only 100 tokens to get access to my ticket show!" - Chaturbate

"Its only $5 to get access to my sub stream! We're gonna be doing some ASMR and just dance streams." - Twitch

Hmm, this seems familiar.
