Even when using the hard gate and noise gate in front or behind the amp, when using a real amplifier when the line 6 pod go is plugged in it squeals terribly

This is not news to anybody here, really just an excuse to show off my weekend project, but the HX Stomp, Duncan PS170, Pedaltrain Nano and Harbor Freight's Apache 5800 make the perfect fly rig. I'll likely end up taking out the foam in the lid and adding some pouches for additional storage, but for now this works.

The Apache hard case gets a million bonus points for also being the perfect size to act as a chair in a pinch.

Hey everyone. I’ve setup a couple multi-amp channels before, but I’m curious as to why there’s not really a dedicated A/B function (unless I’m totally missing it).

Previously, I’ve done the whole set a switch to control the volumes of each path thing.

Am I missing some easy way to run amp 1 and effects on Path A, amp 2 and effects on Path B, and just have a foot switch that toggles input/output simultaneously between the two?

I feel like this should be a very basic thing, and it’s highly likely I could be missing it. Absolutely love the Stadium so far, but it would hit next level for me with a clean, fast A/B solution.

Appreciate any tips and solutions in advance.

I currently use one Helix Floor preset per song, with snapshots within each preset. I’d like to switch to 10-Switch Stomp Mode so I can free up the two extra onboard switches for external MIDI commands, while still keeping easy preset navigation between songs.

What I’m hoping to do is:

1. Assign 8 switches to recall Snapshots 1–8 and use the other 2 for external MIDI commands.
2. Use a separate 2-button MIDI foot controller for Helix preset previous/next, so I can stay in 10-Switch Stomp Mode during the set.

Is this setup possible, and has anyone used something similar successfully?

Anyone have suggestions for amps/pedals and fx chains for a deathmetal on the line 6 helix floor? Need a good DM tone desperately

For those of you who run pedals with a stomp and a physical amp, do you mainly use the 4CM? I noticed that when I use the 4CM, the stock presets on my Stomp XL don't work right unless there is an FX loop in the signal chain. Just not sure what the best approach is. I have a Fender Mustang GTX100 and about 5 pedals on m board. Thanks

I've been using my Helix Rack in my metal band without any sort of stage volume going direct out to our IEM rack and to FOH, and it's been mostly fine. We play 700-cap venues often enough, and while I get enough through the PA and I don't necessarily need to hear myself on stage through a cab (I use sealed CIEMs), I feel like not having it is really cheating front-row audience members, and probably feels off-balance when my guitarist has a Laney LFR-212 on the opposite side of the stage.

I'm also possibly joining a second band that doesn't have an IEM setup, so I'll need some sort of "amp" there. I currently have an Alto TS415 in our practice spot, and while it's pretty loud, it's also heavier than I'd like to carry around, and I don't feel that it's quite the same as a cab.

What are my good options in a budget-friendly cab/power amp setup that will still sound like a bass cab with good punch and spank for metal bass, but won't break the bank (or my back)? I kind of like the markbass stuff on weight, but I also feel like it's a bit too... mid-y/spanky? Is that just me?

I have a bit of complicated rig with a few fuzz pedals but it is quite noisy.

I have in the Helix (rack) fx loops two morningstar ml10x loopswitchers. In one morningsyar I have a few fuzz pedals and a tc electronic sentry noise gate with a 4-cable method. Beside that I have a routing from the Helix guitar thru port to the morningstar and looped thru to a mixer.

So I have the option to use fx loop 1 to 4 or use the fuzz as DI in to the mixer.

The problem. A lot of noise in both paths: in the fx loop but DI aswell. The noise gate helps but it also lose the characters of the fuzz pedals. Any options to solve this?

I finally did it! Love the Helix Stadium so far. It has everything I need for running a live show in a fraction of the size and weight. The presets were extremely easy to rebuild using the touch screen and the Helix app. Everything feels very intuitive, great UI! Showcase has been fantastic. Can't wait to see how this platform evolves over time.

I’m working on a way to control Line 6 HX-family multi-effects from a browser, so you can edit presets from a phone or tablet (or a laptop). tl;dr: HX Edit, but without a laptop. Open source and free.

I only own an HX Effects, so I can’t test other devices yet. I’m looking for people with an HX Stomp / Stomp XL (or other HX-family units) who’d like to test it.

The catch: you need a small Linux board between the pedal and the network (e.g. a Raspberry Pi 3/4/Zero 2 W) with a USB port and Wi-Fi. The app itself uses about 20 MB of RAM. The pedal connects to the board with a USB cable.

I’m running it on a Raspberry Pi 4, but that’s overkill. When I get some free time I’ll move it to something cheaper and smaller.

I don’t expect many takers, but maybe someone else will find it useful too 🙂.

By the way, it's based on Tonepush. Without it, this would be much harder.

Line 6 shouldn't deny their heritage. I want to simulate the most accurate feeling of learning SOAD riffs in 6th grade.

I honestly don't know how I got here to this decision.

This all started as huge head rush flex prime gas.

Then I started comparing the prime to the quad cortex. At that point I felt like I should get the quad because the sounds are described as much better and great out of the box.

Then I read how nueral hasn't supported the product in forever and its already a few years old and dated.

Then I watched helix stadium vs quad battles.

The one thing that impressed me the most was the agreement among the community that line 6 cares about its users. They are willing to make it better and update firmware with more amps and effects.

Maybe the quad sounds better today, but I'd rather go with the company that's working to evolve and already gas way better technology built around its platform.

So I went from wanting to spend $499 to $2200.

What does everyone run their Stadiums through? I have tried the Powercab CL 212 and found it to be too muddy. Also had a friend who used a Cortex on tour to try it out and we both came to the same conclusion we both find it too muddy. I just want something to not be muddy behind me. Was maybe thinking the Fender Fr12.

I have a pretty straightforward preset built for my live rig, however I think I'm using stomp more more like how Snapshot mode would function. Essentially I have my clean tone with all blocks except the amp bypassed. FS1 activates a Kinky Boost and Scream 808 for my drive tone. FS2 activates a Ping Pong delay and Dynamic Plate reverb for my lead tone. FS3 I currently have set up as an infinite sustain setting that changes the decay to infinite and changes some of the motion parameters on the reverb. I just use this for between song ambiance and to let the last note ring forever until the next song starts.

Is it possible to have both FS2 and FS3 control the bypass settings on the delay and reverb? My infinite sustain setting only works if FS2 is activated, but it'd be nice to be able to momentarily activate both blocks using FS3 with the infinite sustain parameters set.

EDIT TO ADD: I'm using an HX Stomp. The controller assign settings are below if that helps illustrate what I'm doing at all.

I’ve been trying to find a good shimmer for the HX FX but I’ve been failing. I don’t like Shimmer pedal that it comes with, it’s not as clean as a normal shimmer. I’m looking for soemthing similar to the Strymon Reverb pedal, at least close to that. I can get a good bloom using two different reverb pedals, and I use a chorus pedal to help add some color to it. But I don’t know how to get a good shimmer tone. Any ideas?

I need help finding sounds on the HX Stomp XL which are more oriental sounding, mainly used for Lebanese Music gigs.

I can provide some examples of sounds that i'd like to replicate i've timestamped the youtube videos. It's been very hard locating exactly these kind of sounds. In arabic music they use a lot of clean, 70s chorus, wah, bouzuk/bouzuki, watery sounds, distortion but not too overpowering

Took my litigator patch I've been using live for years, and did an a/b with the same settings on the new Agoura version and the they both sound so so similar. I probably slightly prefer the litigators smooth high a bit more at the moment haha, such a good model still, gonna try both at a gig tomorrow and try to compare and contrast a little, cause why not

I’m in a cover band, playing all the popular most requested tunes from 80’s to today.
I’m running a PRS custom 24 piezo.

I don’t want to do the pedalboard tap dance and prefer to run a single scene and have 8 snapshots - so no lag in patch changes.
Really would like some advice on who makes best aftermarket or line6 tones.

Just need a pure acoustic, plus a clean amp (think A30 fawn or Fender Deluxe Vibe) and a “do it all” amp like a Freidman BE100 plus appropriate high quality IR’s to match.

HX Effects owner, using it with either my Tone King Imperial or my Mesa Mark V 35 combo.

Initially, I got the HXFX for the delays, reverbs and modulation but recently started trying out some of the drives, mostly out of curiosity. My main go to has been the Strymon Sunset and a couple of Boss pedals but I gotta say, the Pillars drive is incredible. Three modes, all incredibly useful. That one drive may actually boot the others off my board.

Hey all. I have HXFX and an Ernie Ball VP JR. Somehow I had it set up correctly as a volume pedal and then, well, messed around and here I am. Lol.

So it does raise and lower the volume very nicely but in the heel down position, it shuts off the volume block. Any advice is appreciated. Horrible pics included.
