Asking the Community The oven works fine but apparently replacing it is a whole project
Bought a rental recently and the built-in oven finally gave out. Figured this would be a pretty straightforward replacement until I started looking at new ones.
The old oven has some weird dimensions, and most newer models don't fit the existing space. Now I either have to hunt down a model that fits or pay someone to modify the cabinetry just to install a basic oven.
The kitchen itself is perfectly fine, so redoing part of it over an oven feels ridiculous. But buying another old model just because it fits doesn't exactly solve the problem for next time either.
Has anyone else had a rental turn into a mini renovation over something as stupid as an appliance? And is it worth it?
