Score hold question

Hi! I’m very anxious and need some people more knowledgeable than I am to help me out.

Last year I took the November LSAT and bombed. I had the flu during it, wasn’t prepared, and so anxious. I immediately canceled my score.

I took the October LSAT feeling much better about it since I’ve been studying consistently and scoring pretty well on PTs.

My anxiety is this: My score was so low last year, and if I did as well as I think I have + based on my PTs, wouldn’t that mean a big jump would cause a score hold? Do they see the canceled score and consider that?

I know not every jump requires a score hold, but I’m expecting like a 10 point increase. And when I say bad I’m not being dramatic like I did very poorly.

I hope this made sense lmk if I need to clarify.

they dont really care about your canceled score, its like it never happened in their eyes. a 10 point jump is totally normal and not gonna trigger anything, they only flag when its like 20+ points in short time

you studied hard and you were sick last time, just relax and wait for the score

Not really worth worrying about something you'll know the answer to in like half a day. In any event, a score hold can be a big pain in the ass to deal with, so don't be upset that you don't have to deal with it.

100% you’re right. I feel so bad for those waiting so long. The anxiety is more about the what if there was no increase

Oh, I relate. I was a bit disappointed yesterday when I saw others were getting score hold emails, even though rationally I know that it would be a giant pain in the ass, for the only benefit that it would be a signal that I possibly got a good score.

Still, I try to advocate for being reasonable even when I personally struggle with it

10 is not even that crazy lowkey, especially with that much distance between the tests (in the context of LSAT score holds - a 10pt increase would be very impressive OP).
