No matter how insane this all feels, you had little choice.

You will soon come upon an abandoned mansion, surrounded by forest and damp grounds. You will meet others like you, threatened to arrive in the lands of Barovia and you will have to learn to work together and trust another's talents to survive, The Curse of Strahd.

The Ruby Phoenix Tournament is a team fighting championship named after a famed sorceress. The winning team gets to pick a single item from a legendary hoard, but such things are never that simple. Contestants get to rub shoulders with world leaders, other heroes and may or may not get pulled into machinations they weren't even aware of...

The group

This party has been playing together since January 2021. Everyone is stable, punctual, respectful, and fun to be around. One player left in December due to work issues, and i was so loathe to tamper with the party dynamics i didn't even look for a replacement. Recently a second player had to take a break for personal reasons, and three just isn't as fun. My goal is to recruit up to a party of five, leaving room for him to come back in a few months.

Anyway, after playing for four years we've played Tomb of Annihilation, Rime of the Frostmaiden, Curse of Strahd, Dragon Heist and Dungeon of the Mad Mage. Pathfinder

Everyone here is a 5e veteran and PF noob. I spent the last couple of months learning the system, ran a few one-shots, and finally feel confident enough to run a full game. We've run through Season of Ghosts together, and the group loved it so much they wanted the campaign to keep going.

Fortunately there's a second highly appraised PF 2e module that takes place in Tian Xia. Which brings us to...

The game

Fists of the Ruby Phoenix is a level 11-20 module. Which is almost a perfect match for the level 12 party coming out of Season of Ghosts.

It's heavily inspired by Enter the Dragon, Mortal Kombat and the general anime trope of combat competitions.

The sun hasn’t risen over Icewind Dale in two years. The harvests are dead, the trade routes have collapsed, and the Ten Towns have turned inward: hungry, suspicious, and mean.

As with any epic story, your journey will take you far beyond the walls of Sandpoint. You'll face hundreds of humanoid and monstrous foes, delve into Varisia’s ancient ruins, traverse its gloomy forests, and climb the slopes of its rugged mountains to uncover the source of the darkness threatening the land.

I’ve been a huge fan of Paizo’s Adventure Paths for a long time, particularly the older ones. Since 5e has a considerably larger player base than Pathfinder in general, especially compared to the 1st edition, adapting them for D&D felt like a great way to bring these amazing stories to people who might otherwise not experience them.

Hello fellow dice rollers! I'm Shin, a DM eager to run MonkeyDM's soulsborne and lovecraftian-inspired supplement for 5e. This will be a longterm campaign that I aim to run for at least a year. It'll be featuring everything introduced in the book, including the Jaegar class, new subclasses, races, eldritch moons, a madness system, trick weapons and more!

I'll be using the adventures included in the book before taking the reins to have you all explore every nook and cranny of the city of Luyarnha. For the nitty gritty details:

This will be using the 2014 ruleset with some variations and homebrew rules. Nothing major, just some things like how it'll be a bonus action to drink or feed a healing potion to an ally rather than a full action.

Ability scores are determined by rolling 5d6 and dropping the lowest two. You will get to roll two sets and pick the one you favor. This helps ensure you get powerful stats. I aim to challenge you, but wish to make you feel like the powerful heroes you have the potential to be. If you wish to use point buy or standard array instead, we'll utilize empowered versions of them.

Free feat. This will stack with Variant Human and Custom Lineage.

Average HP. Subject to change based on some boons you can acquire in the future. More on that later.

You'll be granted access to the Steinhardt related content including the Jaegar class, new races, and new subclasses should you choose to wield such powers...

This will be a level 3-20 adventure.

Throughout the journey through the corrupted city, you will be granted access to a special place that'll act as a hub world of sorts for you. A chance to rest, work maintenance on gear, and to prove your worth and be rewarded boons that'll help. Some rewards include special magical items, switching from average to max hp for each level, unique skills tailored to you, and even epic boons...

I have multiple tables open for Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. All of which are at 5pm CST, with another one on Saturday at 12pm CST.

I'm a pretty laid-back DM, but that doesn't mean I fail in providing a worthwhile session. If you have a different interpretation of a rule, I'm open to listen.
