Decided to see how long it would take to get max potions by farming the Shadows on Destiny Islands before the Darkside fight. Took about 2.5 hours and ended up at level 16. Uhhh do what you want with that info I guess 🤷‍♂️

• Upvotes

Finally going to fight the data organization in this game. But unlike kh2 im not gonna look at guides. Want to beat these guys fair and square and i haven't seen any videos of anyone beating any if these guys either. That being said, how many elixers should i have made? I have 37 elixers and like 7 mega elixers surely that should be enough 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

OC Finished KH2 for the first time ever: Here are my notes from KH1, Chain of Memories and now KH2 in a mindmap

I started playing the Kingdom Hearts series for the first time a few months ago. I decided to try to help keep my thoughts straight about the lore so I have been streaming and taking a lot of notes as the lore rolled through to try and piece everything together.

Are my notes correct or accurate? I would assume for the most part no, but it has been my understanding of the games and lore thus far.

So that led to this monstrosity. Lots of lingering questions that I have been told will get answered down the line, so here's to hoping.

Planning on starting 358/2 after a short break to really solidify these notes and nodes and take on some side content in KH2 :D

KH1 What are the benefits of going shield in KH1?

I honestly have no information on it. There seem to be some niche things you wouldn't think about like Lucky Strike being at a different level or using more items. I've never gone shield so I'd like to know your guys' opinions, especially if you've played through with different builds.

I know Sword gives you a lot of really nice attack abilities early on that make swordplay more fluid, especially at just the right moment for that to be useful.
And Staff gives you more MP and early access to MP boosting abilities.

I assume that choosing shield gives more comfort abilities like Second Chance, making boss fights more forgiving in exchange for fewer abilities to take down bosses quickly?

Hey everyone. So I’ve opened several of the blind boxes from GameStop but I can’t find the Ultima Weapon. I and willing to trade my extras(pictured above) or pay for one if someone has an extra. Or both. It’s the only one I’m missing and I want to complete the set for my wife who loves all the keyblades. Please help!

Discussion So Ultima weapon is busted

I recently did a run of ”can I get the Ultima Weapon before Xeanort“ and not only can you do it before him you can do it before beating the keyblade graveyard and it absolutely takes care of him good. It fully drained his health bar with one formchange.

KH2 Never knew about this until recently

I never knew on Day 2 as Roxas if you do enough jobs to get to at least 1,200 munny, you get a permanent +2 AP boost after talking to Hayner. Same goes if you get at least 800 it's a +1 AP boost

This is why Sora and Roxas can't play Cops and Robbers for too long Sora goes too far 🫩

And Sora in classic fashion always wants to be the cop then gets surprised when Roxas is tired of being told to "Freeze" for the ten millionth time 🙄

(Pardon the buttons and the small screen messing around with my PS2 emulator)

The Hero of the Keyblade vs the Graceful Assassin.

Just two dawgs going at it. Marluxia offers judgment to Sora for inviting Naminé to shatter his heart. Sora proving that no matter what happens, he’ll have the strength to fight for his friends.

Enjoy my fight against this haunting Nobody in my Re:CoM play through. It was a fun 40 hours through Sora’s story. Excited to discover Riku’s.

Discussion Am I the only one who feels like Atlantica in KH2 was a missed opportunity?

I've been playing through Kingdom Hearts 2, and I recently finished the first musical chapter, Atlantica: "Swim This Way." I have to say, I'm pretty disappointed with how they handled this world compared to KH1.

Now, before anyone gets the wrong idea, I understand why some people didn't like Atlantica in the first game. The underwater controls and combat could be frustrating, and I can see why the developers might have wanted to try something different for the sequel.

But I feel like they went a little too far in the opposite direction.

In KH1, Atlantica actually felt like a world you could explore. You fought Heartless, discovered different areas, dealt with Ursula, and learned more about King Triton's knowledge of the Keyblade. It also had connections to Maleficent and the overall story.

In KH2, it feels like they took most of that away and turned the world into a series of musical minigames. I don't necessarily hate the idea of having songs from The Little Mermaid. Still, I wish they had kept the exploration and combat while incorporating the musical elements into the story.

Another thing that bothers me is the progression. I just finished "Swim This Way," and now I'm being told I need Magnet magic to move a statue before I can continue. It reminds me of collecting Torn Pages for the 100 Acre Wood, except at least that makes sense because you're restoring a storybook. Having to leave Atlantica and come back because I don't have a particular spell feels unnecessary.

I also wish there had been more dialogue acknowledging Sora's previous visit. He already helped Ariel and King Triton in KH1, so it would've been nice to see them catch up instead of mostly focusing on recreating elements from the movie.

I know Atlantica is optional this time, and I can understand why some people would enjoy the change of pace. I also haven't finished all the musical chapters yet, so maybe my opinion will change as I go.

I think there was a middle ground between KH1's underwater combat and KH2's musical minigames. They could've improved the controls while still making Atlantica feel like a proper adventure.

I'm curious what everyone else thinks. Did you prefer Atlantica in KH1 or KH2? And if you disliked the first game's underwater combat, did the musical approach actually improve the world for you?

What Are Your Hopes & Dreams For The Animated Series?

Post image
410 Upvotes

The animated series was confirmed to be in development a while back and claims it will be a new story within the series’ canon.

My hopes are that it will be a vehicle from which they can explain lore from throughout the games such as;
- The Realms: Light, Dark, Between, Dreams, Data and beyond
- Beings: Heartless, Nobodies, Somebodies, Vessels and whatnot
- Time Travel, The Book of Prophecies, The Box, The Thirteen Ancient Darknesses…

The list goes on!

My dream would be the show getting to a point whereby they can retell and substantiate the events of the extended cast who are too frequently sidelined so that Sora can shine. The entire organisation for example have a wealth of backstory and interesting powers to showcase.

I’m looking forward to what they come up with!
