Yes and no, theft is the dishonest appropriation of anothers property with the intention to permanently deprive the other of it regardless of legal right of the terms of the building, burglary is the act of entering a property as a trespasser and just simply committing theft, burglary or criminal damage. It can also be just the intention to enter a property whether its a commercial or residual building, but one of those offences must be met to be burglary, its not a different type of stealing for some reason (the law is weird and unclear) š¤·āāļø
Edit: i meant legal terms of the building, oops

What happened?
Do customers have to be buzzed in and out? If so, how did the dumbass not figure that out while waiting to be buzzed in?

Usually setups like this have a magnetic door lock that is normally left unlocked, but when they are say, showing a customer a expensive item from behind the counter they have a hidden button that locks the door, if the clerk is slick enough you probably wont ever notice unless another customer tries to use the door.

He was actually moving pretty quick too. They might have saved him from tripping on the sidewalk. Hope he said thank you.

They let him walk free after this clip instead of calling the police, and some people were outraged by that apparently.
