Here’s what I’m wondering: suppose character X has implemented their strategy X, and character Y intended to implement counterstrategy Y vs strategy X, but X predicted this intention and therefore implemented counterstrategy X vs counterstrategy Y even before implementation of counterstrategy Y, thereby aligning counterstrategy X with strategy X. Would this strategy X + counterstrategy X be considered as one strategy, or two different strategies, or it's both?
Gwyn is shown visualizing the universe itself, with numbers, equations, and mathematical structures forming around him as he instantly deduces the origin of the universe.
To accomplish this, Gwyn would first have to reduce Reality itself into quantifiable inputs, such things including:
Energy distributions.
Space-time curvature.
Causality chains.
Conservation laws.
Symmetry and asymmetry.
He would then have to identify the fundamental invariants and constraints governing these variables, including conservation of energy, mathematical symmetry, dimensional consistency, and information preservation, determining which principles apply throughout the universe's evolution.
From there, Gwyn would work backward numerically, using the universe's current expansion and observable properties to reconstruct its earlier states.
He would repeatedly test the resulting equations, eliminating solutions that violate stability, continuity, or logical consistency until only mathematically viable origins remain.
However, he would also have to investigate the concept of "before time." Rather than treating time as a pre-existing constant, he would represent it as a variable or boundary condition, solving equations in which time emerges as a result rather than being assumed as a cause.
Afterward, Gwyn would investigate the fundamental conditions of an origin by examining a hypothetical state in which:
Energy = 0
Information = 0
Structure = 0
If absolute nothingness existed in the strictest sense, nothing could simply begin without an explanation for how existence emerged.
Therefore, Gwyn would have to determine whether the universe originated from a fluctuation, a necessity, or an unavoidable mathematical consequence, and establish which possibility could be supported by the mathematical framework.
He would then visualize all these equations and relationships simultaneously, treating constants, variables, and their interactions as shapes and motions within his mind. (As he visualizes all of the calculations that he makes, which is shown on multiple occasions—like the one above)
By comparing the possibilities against the constraints he had established, he would narrow them down to a class of origins that does not violate the applicable conservation laws, explains cosmic expansion, allows complexity to emerge, accommodates the emergence of time, and remains internally consistent.
Finally, because all of this is shown in a flashback, Gwyn must have already encoded the entire mathematical model into his memory.
He visualizes the universe beforehand, retains the underlying relationships rather than merely memorizing the conclusions, and can re-derive the results instantaneously.
(The manga is Reincarnated Beauty Netora Reiko and this feat happens in chapter 2)
So while Netora Reiko and her childhood friend Yuu are seeing which clubs they should join, they open the library to check out the literature club and Yuri Shirase, one of its members, is surprised by their sudden entrance and slips, with a ton of books crashing onto her
After they help her out, Reiko (who knew from earlier that Yuri is a lesbian due to the way she stared at Reiko in class) gets up close and stares at her for a moment, making Yuri feel awkward. Reiko then asks if she is Yuri Shirase from her class, which Yuri confirms and says that she's surprised that Reiko knows her name to which Reiko replies saying that it's only natural since they're classmates
Reiko then asks Yuri about the literature club and bons with her over their shared love of books. Reiko mentions how she's wanted to talk to Yuri more, to which Yuri responds by saying that she also wanted to talk with Reiko more. Reiko then "remembers" that the books that fell on Yuri were quite heavy and shows a more kind and caring side, checking Yuri's head for injuries which was actually just so Yuri would see Reiko's chest up close which is meant to serve as direct form of seduction
After confirming that Yuri's head is fine, she asks her if they can join the literature club (referring to her as "Yuri-chan" instead of "Shirase-san" like earlier, which is a more intimate way to refer to someone)
After Yuri explains how to get the form submitted so they can join the literature club, Reiko once again calls her Yuri-chan and hugs her a thankful gesture for helping them out, once again expanding the intimate bond she created. When Yuu-kun points out how Reiko's being a bit too touchy with Yuri, Reiko says that this is perfectly normal for girls and then whispers to Yuri that since it's perfectly normal, she doesn't have to hold back. This creates the idea in Yuri's mind that this quickly-created and intimate bond between Reiko and Yuri is completely normal
Reiko then leaves and says they'll see each other tomorrow
So in summary, Reiko within minutes creates and then gradually builds an intimate bond with Yuri. First starting by telling Yuri that she knows her from her class which is an effective way to seduce her as Yuri's shyness would make it so she'd feel really happy about her crush recognizing her, then Reiko starts talking about their common interest, then showing a more caring side towards Yuri by checking for head injuries, at the same time she's making Yuri feel aroused by being so close to Reiko's chest, then starting to call her Yuri-chan as a way to clearly show a more intimate bond between them, then thanking her and hugging her which once again builds a more intimate bond and then finally she tops it off by convincing Yuri that their intimate bond is completely normal
This post will cover a short tactic that Kanade used in chapter 3. Specifically, her removal of the abdomen from Setsuka's corpse.
In case anyone is unfamiliar with this case, the surface level reason that she did this was to hide the stab wounds. Kanade and Hibiki performed a double murder by stabbing Setsuka simultaneously in the abdomen. The main reason that this was necessary was that Kanade and Hibiki are left and right handed respectively, and this would allow a skilled detective to determine that the two stab wounds came from two different killers. Her removal and discarding of the abdomen conceals this entirely. However, after closer analysis she also had several other reasons and intertwining tactics to do this.
This tactic ties directly into the Iroha framing; from the detective's position, it is clear that the culprit had a reason to remove the abdomen. Kanade correctly predicts that Shobai will postulate the reason as the killer hiding their dominant hand. Why would a killer need to hide their dominant hand? The obvious reason is that there are far fewer left handed people than right handed people. In the SDRA2 cast, only Iroha and Kanade are left handed, immediately making them potential culprits, assuming the previous reasoning is correct.
As we know, Kanade goes on to framing Iroha later in the trial after Shobai makes this deduction, using this piece of evidence as a very strong and convincing premise to pile onto what was already a good plan.
Now, what about the fact that she made herself a suspect? This was also entirely planned. Kanade even leaks other details that put her on Shobai's radar, namely mentioning how she is aware of Hibiki's trauma induced memory loss. Kanade had purposely set things up so that it is extremely difficult to line up the events that would result in her involvement to the murder. In other words, if she was accused it would be almost impossible to pinpoint how she was able to do it. As predicted, Shobai's reasoning falls short. Shortly after, she is able to use basically the exact same premises that Shobai outlined to successfully incriminate the other suspect created by the abdomen's removal: Iroha.
Probably the funniest part about this feat is the fact that while it does arouse suspicious towards certain people effectively, it isn't even close to definitive evidence. There are countless other reasons for the abdomen's removal. This is important because it means that if Kanade's plan to frame Iroha fails, the removal doesn't necessarily incriminate her either.
Even if Shobai never accused Kanade for some reason, this still leaves no evidence pointing towards her.
Just for the extra slight wank, we can also detail how this ties into the logistics of the murder plan. Deep into the plan, Hibiki is required to sprint a medium distance while carrying the torso in as little time as possible.
Doing some quick google searches we can attain some useful info (I hope I don't get put on a registry for this). If Hibiki were to carry her entire torso (thorax+abdomen) then that would be around 29% of Setsuka's bodyweight, which comes out to around 16kgs or 35lbs. Without the torso, this is reduced to 17% of Setsuka's bodyweight which is approximately 9kgs or 21lbs. In other words, Hibiki would likely be able to sprint much faster than with the entire torso intact. The reasons for her speed needing to be that high are a bit beyond the scope of this post, in short Kanade needed this time interval to be as short as possible in order to clear herself of suspicion.
In SCD terms, this fulfills a decent amount of deception categories on its own. Uses EU/EP/ToM/logical manipulation to utilize Shobai's knowledge and background against him. Strategy logistics and foresight for the last part.
Even knowing to remove the abdomen proves she knew the effects of this action on Shobai's inference, alongside purposely choosing Iroha as her framing target. If she didn't consider this, she could've picked Nikei or Teruya to frame because of their hat/baggy clothes.
I mostly made this post for fun, I could see myself making some similar ones in the future depending on how this one is received. I personally think that Kanade is underrated in this sub and hopefully that can change in the future 🙏. Let me know if I left out anything crucial I made this kinda fast
