Two ideologies at play
DRKMAGA and a Firefighter American flag. I wonder if he knows the fire department is one of the most socialist things the United States has ever done.

It’s Mississippi.
They work real hard to stay at the bottom of lists for education, healthcare and economic development.

I've been a first responder for 20+ years. Firefighters and Cops are equally conservative as a general rule.

Most firefighters, for some reason, are very right wing, at least in my area.

Next year this guy will be asking himself, "Should I just put on my Jeep 'Beware: I'm a predator,' cuz I think people aren't really getting the message as is." But it's like buddy we're all getting the message I think.

Where does your public service end and socialism begin?

We would need to have a Republic that wasn't dominated by Oligarchs. Something that is possibly impossible under a liberal democracy.
I can't think of any examples where that hasn't been the case.
Also, our system is not a hybrid of Capitalism and Socialism. The closest we have to that are segments of the economy where you have CoOp based companies alongside capitalist ones.
Like I said before, socialism is defined by worker ownership. Gov run is one way that can be done but it is not even required to have socialism, let alone how socialism is defined.

The IAFF Fireman’s Union is pretty huge and very progressive, helping to establish things like their pensions, limits on hours worked (huge improvements over the past), insurance requirements, and regulate competitive wages. All of which is pretty socialist in concept when compared to most conservative American politics.

I want you to walk me through why you think it's socialist, even in the slightest.
Because socialist is defined by workers, owning the means of production. We have an oligarch dominated liberal democracy so nothing run by our state fits that definition.
