Ah Nikki, such a sweet seemingly normal human that is actually from a MUCH higher plane of existence than she appears but remains so humble
Guided by a more ancient version of herself, through her mission to save the world.... has human parents...
The source of all her powers is boundless love...
She ... walks on water and can heal the sick ....
Extremely selfless, even to the point of sacrifice...
Oh no...

That's exactly my point. All of one religion and it's barely a footnote; and so far nobody has been able to list a single other religion other than Catholicism about who actually pays tribute even as minor as it is to Mary.

u/wereinbearcountry May 29 '26
The Catholics DEFINITELY give Mary credit. In fact she gets gets hyperdulia, putting her above all other saints as a powerful intercessor. People regularly pray to her directly so she can intervene on their behalf…
I have my qualms with Catholicism but they definitely give Mary her due.

u/CommunityQuirky4155 May 29 '26
The Catholics definitely gave her credit. I'm not arguing that. I'm arguing no one else did

Maybe it’s because I come from an immigrant household but the Holy Mother is depicted everywhere. I would say Mary is kind of a footnote among American Protestants maybe, so the idea that “no one” gives her credit is a bit of a USA thing.
