Islamophobia I'm sorry Parvez we failed you he's an activist who took stand for hate speech against muslim women by Yogi he was jailed n made abandon by both secular party and muslim

The death of social activist Pervez Parwaz occurred some day in Gorakhpur Jail.

Pervez Parwaz has been continuously protesting Yogi Adityanath's communal actions since 2007, as a result of which cases were also filed against Yogi, due to which Pervez Parwaz always remained in Yogi's crosshairs. Yogi Adityanath conspired against him by getting his own people to file false cases, as a result of which he had been imprisoned in Gorakhpur District Jail since 2018.

Pervez Parwaz's death while in jail does not seem natural he was already suffering from sickness and he was made to die a painful lonely death

How many muslim community know about him ? Ask yourself

How many did post about him ? Meanwhile muslim have all the time to post for CJP dipke and others

When Parvez filed case it was during Samajwadi Party rule

Not only so called Secular party shielded Yogi but turned a blind eye to Parvez arrest

This is the humiliation of UP muslim that had to vote for such Secular party who don't even protect minority rights and leave them to die

Yogi hateful speech is still online available where he said "100 muslim girls shall be kidnapped in revenge"

Yet Indian police and our so called law order of secular constitution did nothing

If we as muslim community don't stand up for those fellow activist or show moral support on social media i don't think anyone else will cause neither our Secular political parties care nor majority hindus do Infact Yogi went on to get majority vote and became CM by hindus while Biswa and others compete who can give more bloodthirsty genocidal calls

I will still firmly say this biggest lie told to muslim is indian law is same for all or constitution is for all or India is Secular country Wake up to reality in nowhere in secular country leader gives genocidal calls and gets vote cheering lynching gets support by police and garlanded muslim gets killed for being muslim and doesn't even get justice

The sad reality is i came to know about this case through a Foreign infouncer https://x.com/ragebait_krungi/status/2110229714732478930?s=2

Assalamualaikum everyone.

She picks a fight for no absolute reasons. Im in my drop year because of a) we dont have the money to afford college b) i enrolled in CA course cuz its the most affordable out there.

I had 3 months of of prep time for my foundation exam but it got ruined bcz of her, constant fighting, noise and disturbances made a lot of backlog to pile up and then the institute decided to change the pattern in my attempt only as a cherry on top so it went kinda meh and i have a 50-50 chance of passing.

I have no friends either all of them left me when my family was going thru financial troubles last year, when one of them see me they have the audacity to say 'kaha ho ajkal' in front of my parents to paint me as the problem.

Anyways i thought ghar pe baithne se accha hai papa ke sath site pe jao cuz now he has found some works alhamdulillah but its not like i can go evryday.

She jus pokes me and instigates to maybe dump her anger on me she had bcz of any minot inconvinience like im some trashcan. Like im collecting gunah too fighting with mother and arguing, and she says such hurtful words then when father comes home she suddenly becomes the victim and ive stopped explaining myself to him too he has already made me 'battameez bhsdiwala' and my sibling aint much help either hes the good son even though when she fights with him he says the same stuff i do, shes even like this with my father. Idk wuts her problem but im losing my sanity too.

In november last year i started praying and taking deen seriously but she managed to ruin that too, im not gonna go in detail its vry long.

Idk man maybe jus tell me how to die quickly without commiting suicde. I don think next year college is possible either and now i have zero 0 motivation to continue CA too.

Why posting here? Bcz i jus want this to go out somewhere

Modernism in Islam

As I said earlier, the other aspect of my studies all these years in IIT, JNU, and now Tihar has been to understand the strands of modernism in Islam—a reaction to both the loss of sovereignty as well as the power of modern science. I have written about fundamentalism before coming to jail, but in prison I have sought and received far greater clarity vis-a-vis what can be called a “pathological” reaction to modernity (for the usage of the term “pathological” here, look at “Epilogue” in SherAli Tareen’s Perilous Intimacies: Debating Hindu-Muslim Friendship After Empire, 2023). It is only through political agency for the Muslim masses, and not just modern education, that the fundamentalist and anti-democratic reaction to modernity can be arrested. Both are equally necessary.

Monarchical and dictatorial forces in the Islamic lands, especially the ones aligned with western imperialism, will keep promoting anti-democratic, sectarian and counter-revolutionary interpretations of Islam and the only way to counter these is through a democratic, inclusive and revolutionary Islam, especially, but not only, from modern thinkers like Iqbal and Ali Shariati, the most democratic voices of South Asian and Iranian Muslims, respectively. Allahabadi (d. 1921) lived through what can be called the high noon of colonialism. He had nothing to show to match the material achievements of the colonizers, political or scientific. He was critical of Aligarh for aping colonial masters, but he was also critical of the ulema for keeping their minds closed to modernity and modern thought.

Despite the repeated exhortations of the Quran towards empiricism, observation and interpretation of the cosmic order—to the extent that observing nature seems almost like a religious exercise in the Quranic worldview—the ulema failed to grasp the significance of modern scientific development (see the Quran, chapter 88, verse 17-26; chapter 36, verse 33-42; and dozens of other similar passages; see also Iqbal’s Knowledge and Religious Experience, 1930). But Allahabadi himself tried, in vain, to reconcile these two extremes. In this, he represents the best of South Asian Muslim thought of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Well versed in western science and philosophy as well as in Islamic studies, he is a unique and towering figure who had faith but still fell short of a breakthrough.

The breakthrough came in the next generation. A closer synthesis of modernity with Islam on the one hand and the groundbreaking development in physics on the other produced figures like Iqbal who could argue more freely against materialism, as Newtonian physics collapsed, and who could also critique the ulema who held dubious historical records as sacred and were involved in sectarian squabbles because of it while ignoring the Quranic revelation and monotheistic foundation of the Islamic community. Iqbal was of the opinion that a democratic leadership of Muslims would be able to build institutions that would lead to the next chapter in the life of the Islamic ummat. Unfortunately, Partition put a brake—a temporary one, we pray—to his dreams.

However, my views must not be misconstrued as condemnation of any religious community. My beliefs call for rationality and empathy. They also include support for monotheistic and anti-caste movements in other religious traditions. For instance, read Iqbal on Gautam Buddha:

Qaum ne paigham-e Gautam ki zara parwah na ki

Qadr pehchani na apne gauhar-e-yaqdana ki

The nation paid no heed to the Buddha’s message

Little did it understand the worth of the priceless pearl

Or his words on Guru Nanak:

Phir uthi tauheed ki sadaa Punjab se

Hind ko ik mard-e kamil ne jagaya khwab se

Once more has a monotheistic banner been raised in Punjab

India has been raised from slumber by a saintly man

I clarify again that I am neither essentializing any religious community nor passing judgements on individuals. I am merely discussing the conceptual categories. I agree with Iqbal’s articulation of that delicate idea:

Kafir-e bedar dil pish-e sanam

Beh zi dindari ki khuft andar haram

The pagan idol worshipper with a living heart

Is better than the religious man who sleeps in the haram

If you are content that you know the truth, if you have put your heart to sleep, you have abandoned Tawhid. The Quran reiterates on multiple occasions that Tawhid is not a novel idea introduced by Prophet Muhammad but it’s as old as humanity. For me, this is the breakthrough that brings together life and academics. The best among us is the one who is the most righteous (one with taqwa), not of a particular tribe or religion or nation. That is the worldview of Tawhid. Failure to appreciate this dimension leads to the dangerous notion that others are less important than us. These are the things that occupy my mind even in jail; I cannot not write about them.

Ask Indian Muslims 24M, just wanted to share my experience and see if others can relate

I always thought 23-25 is the perfect age to get married, but societal expectations, family responsibilities, and peer pressure has been pushing that goal further away.

I got my first job just last month. Initially, the expectation was simple: "Get a job first, and then you can get married." I thought things would move forward once I started earning, but now the goalposts have shifted.

Now, I'm expected to earn and save for another two years, pay for the wedding, and repair the house. Comments like "Would you let your in-laws sit in this broken house?" and "Would you want to bring your wife here?" It makes me wonder when One is finally considered ready.

I understand the importance of financial stability and wanting to provide a comfortable life for your spouse. But at what point does preparation become an endless cycle of expectations?

I'm sure many Muslim men my age are facing similar pressures despite genuinely wanting to get married and take responsibility.

I'd love to hear perspectives from both sides.

To the brothers:

\- Are you facing similar family and financial pressures?

\- Have the expectations around marriage changed as you've gotten older or started earning?

\- How do you balance financial stability with the desire to get married young?

To the sisters:

\- Would you consider marrying a man who has recently started earning and is still building his financial stability?

\- How important are a fully furnished house, wedding expenses, and savings are?

\- Do you think our social expectations are making marriage unnecessarily difficult?

I'm genuinely interested in hearing your honest perspectives

So I'm posting this video here, because a lot of youngsters are asking me about this. This is like 7 minutes. May Allah help you understand. See, the problem arises when we try to "justify" Islam with our western media, Atlantic slavery movies influenced mind or indian hindu dharam influenced education. What must be our starting point, is Islam, and then see how these "isms" try to make narrative. Then it will be far easier insha Allah.

A 115 year old masjid, located just a few metres away from PMs house, is now being demolished.

For how long will they keep erasing our place of worship. This is truly unnecessary, and a serious action should be taken.

We as Muslims should hold possible protests, raise our voices, and ask for justice through lawful means as the property comes under waqf.

Spread awareness as much as you can.

Religious Most Indian Muslims falls for superstitions like there is no tomorrow— let’s clear this up properly

As-salamu alaykum,

I’ve noticed something quite common among many Indian Muslims (including in my own circles): people get terrified of “ghosts,” black magic, certain days, numbers, cats, birds, specific places, or weird noises in the house

Then they end up doing things that are completely outside Islam — visiting fake fakirs, doing weird rituals, wearing strange taweez, sacrificing animals in non-Islamic ways, or believing that some object or day has power over them.

This isn’t harmless. A lot of these practices are pure superstition and can easily fall into shirk without the person even realising it. When you start believing that something other than Allah can independently harm or protect you, or you start doing rituals to appease “spirits,” you’ve already stepped into dangerous territory.

First, the ghost thing

Islam does not believe in human ghosts (the souls of dead people roaming around and haunting houses). After death the soul is in barzakh. So believing in bhoot pret aatma are is non islamic.

So there is nothing in this world that muslim should have irrational or paranormal fear that leads to superstition.

Now there is other thing that you are aware of but still unaware of. The Jinn. The most of ghost like experience comes from them but they are not what you think they are.

Jinn are a real creation of Allah — created from smokeless fire, just like we were created from clay. They have free will exactly like us. There are Muslim jinn and non-Muslim jinn, good ones and bad ones, righteous ones and rebellious ones. They’re not demons by default, and they’re not all evil. Just like humans they have families communities etc.

And we know this because quran is revealed both for humans and jinn and prophet muhammad (pbuh) is messanger of allah for both the creation

So neither they are superior to you and neither inferior. Nor they are powerful than you nor weak. They are just different with their own set of capabilities which for us might sound like superpower. Some muslim scholar debate that we are a rank above them.

They are invisible to us but they can see us but most of the time they rather not interfare with us and carry out their daily chores.

But Just like a bad human some bad jinn can cause harm — whispers, disturbances, sometimes physical issues, or even possession in rare cases.

But a few important points that people forget:

They also fear Allah.

Most interactions are short-lived because they don’t want to stick around when someone is consistent in dhikr, prayer, and seeking refuge in Allah.

They are created beings with limits. They are not gods, not independent, and not stronger than the protection Allah gives to His servants.

Imagine bad Jin as just like a bad human being so instead of fearing them like some paranormal thing and going to baba, you should confront how you confront a bad human in a figurative way. In Literal sense You cannot fight jin like you fight a human as they are made different. Seeking refuge in allah and quran is the weapon of choice. Remember Jin also fear allah and they are also answerable to allah during judgement so they also have fear in their heart.

If you ever feel like you’ve encountered a jinn which is very very rare, the correct response is not panic, not running to a random “baba,” and not believing the jinn has some special power over you. Stay calm, recite the Quran (especially the last three surahs, Ayat al-Kursi), seek refuge in Allah, and strengthen your regular worship. They are afraid of the name of Allah and the Quran.

The real problem

Many of us have mixed Islamic belief with cultural superstitions. Black cats, certain numbers, “unlucky” days, specific rituals for “ghosts,” random taweez that contain unknown words, etc. — a lot of this has nothing to do with the Quran and Sunnah. The Prophet ﷺ clearly forbade taking bad omens and superstitions, and he called it a form of shirk.

Remember this: any jinn — good or bad — is nothing but a speck of dust in front of Allah just like us. Allah is the King of Kings. Nothing happens without His permission, and nothing can harm you except what He has already decreed. When you truly internalise that, a lot of the fear and superstition disappears.

I observed many youngsters who speaks Standard Urdu or Dakhani especially in Maharashtra doesn't know to read and write Perso-Arabic script in Naskh or Nastliq style

Tho we can agree that Urdu literature might not be exposed to them untill they had Urdu as their language subject in their school or college

But in most of Mosques they do teach to read write Arabi script but can't be used for writing Urdu or Dakhani as those languages have sounds which are not present in Arabi language

And also average Standard Urdu or Dakhani native who have been to Mosques can read and write Arabi script but may not able to read or guess letters like گ پ ٹ ڈ etc which are in Perso-Arabic script used for writing Urdu, Dakhani, Pashto, Panjabi, Saraiki, Koshur, Hindko etc

Ask Indian Muslims How can I sincerely repent for hurting someone if I cannot ask them for forgiveness?

Assalamu Alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.

I have done the gravest sin and I feel worst of myself remembering that incident again and again , I want some proper authentic guidance , i want to remain anonymous and not tell anyone that's why I can not contact my imam about this , if possible it would be ahreta help if anyone can clarify this either themselves if they think they can or by asking imams of their mosques , It would be a great help.

So,

In the past, I repeatedly mistreated and physically beat a young girl who was around 8–10 years old. She was a poor relative who stayed with my family temporarily and helped with domestic work.

I treated her cruelly over small, unnecessary things. She was frightened of me, and when she was leaving, I told her never to return. I feel deeply ashamed of how I treated someone so vulnerable and innocent. She did not deserve any of it.

I did apologise to her at one point, but I later repeated the same wrongdoing. Looking back, I feel terrible about the fear and pain I caused her.

She has since returned to her village, and I don't know whether I will ever see her again. I may technically be able to contact her family, but they aren't close relatives, and contacting them unexpectedly could raise suspicions within my own family. I don't want to expose my identity or create further problems.

Whenever I remember what happened, I regret my actions and ask Allah for forgiveness. I genuinely want to repent and ensure I never treat anyone like that again.

However, I'm struggling with several questions:

  1. What are the conditions of sincere tawbah in a situation like this, where I have physically harmed another person?

  2. Since I cannot easily contact her, what should I do about her rights? **Is there anything I can reasonably do to make amends?**

  3. Would giving sadaqah and making dua for her be appropriate? Can these actions help if I genuinely cannot reach her?

4**. If I cannot obtain her forgiveness personally, what does Islam teach about my responsibility?**

  1. **How can I balance taking this sin seriously with maintaining hope in Allah's mercy instead of falling into constant fear and overthinking?**

I understand that what I did was wrong, and I'm not trying to justify or minimise it. I want to take responsibility and follow the correct Islamic guidance.

Please share your opinion on what i should do, Jazakallah

May Allah forgive our sins

Culture How Indian muslim have created a generations of weak indian muslim women who end up doing the exact same thing the muslim community dreaded the most.

Please read it full before venting your opinion. Its not a venting post. It provide a path to solution.

Whenever you ask a Muslim family why they keep their daughter or sister less educated or away from a job, they almost always say the same thing: they fear that if she is allowed to study or work, she will enter a haram relationship or end up doing haram things. The fear is so extreme among many of them that they marry their daughters or sisters off very early. Financial pressure also plays a role. The result is simple: the Indian Muslim community has far fewer educated Muslim women and very low Muslim women workforce participation. The good news is that things are changing fast, and more families are now open to education and jobs for Muslim women. That solves one problem. The core problem remains.

How have we created weak Indian Muslim women, and why do so many of them still end up doing the one thing parents dread most?

Most Muslim families will tell you the most devastating thing their daughter or sister can do is enter a haram relationship with a non-Muslim and end up marrying him. Unlike many other religions, Islam does not allow Muslim women to marry non-Muslim men. The logic is that a woman generally follows the religion of her husband, so the community loses one of its own. Muslim men are only allowed to marry among the People of the Book. For most of my life I never cared much about inter-religion relationships because in India they happen both ways. Then something caught my eye.

In my previous workplaces I saw a hijabi girl having an illicit affair with a married non-Muslim manager who already has two kids at home. She knew everything. I though this is a fluke. Now Anyone who has lived in Hyderabad or Lucknow knows that a significant number of Muslim women wear the hijab. Where I come from, almost no Muslim women wear it except the more religious ones. I also keep seeing news on Instagram and Facebook of Hyderabad Muslim youth getting arrested by police because they harass or moral-police Muslim women who are with non-Muslim men — exactly what BD does. Almost all of them are hijabis. Here is one example:

https://x.com/Sheikh_Salma_/status/2113916991954358430

So I understand that in places like Hyderabad and parts of UP, the hijab is often more fashion or a way to hide one’s identity than something of deep religious significance. Some women wear it simply so they are not recognised. This raises a big question about their families. Do you force your daughter or sister to wear the hijab without ever teaching her what it actually means? Mostly, yes. In many lower socio-economic Muslim families, women are scolded into wearing it. Her brother will say “Parda daal warna jhapad marunga” and her father will turn red if she steps out without it. So now you understand where most of the hijab thing is coming from for those inter-religion hijabi womens.

Now there is something more sinister. Believe it or not A large number of Muslim women genuinely believe that “love jihad” is real and that some Muslim boys have an ulterior motive of converting non-Muslim women because it gives them sawab. Recently in Assam a Muslim man deleted his non-Muslim girlfriend and the news became a national headline. One Muslim woman came on camera and claimed it is written in the Quran for Muslim men to trap and marry non-Muslim women and that they are paid by maulanas. Can you imagine the level of madness we have reached?

You might think I am going to blame all of this on the misogyny of Muslim men. No. Not even close. I am a Muslim man and we are as misogynistic as our non-Muslim counterparts. But there is something beyond our control, and here is why.

If you go through crime reports there are dozens of cases of men killing their women and vice versa. There are significant numbers of Muslim women being killed by their non-Muslim partners and vice versa. But what do you hear on the news? On social media? On Twitter and Facebook? Only one narrative — love jihad. There is nothing surprising about Muslims believing this. That is the motive of such coverage. They are exploiting a deep human cognitive bias called the "Illusory Truth Effect" — the tendency to believe a statement is more likely to be true simply because you have heard it before, regardless of whether it is actually true or where it came from. This is a biological hack. Everyone falls for it. And since we do not control the media, we cannot stop it.

Now read this article:

https://scroll.in/latest/859907/rss-affiliate-plans-to-marry-2100-muslim-women-to-hindu-men-from-next-week

From the article you can see that in reality they do the things they accuse the Muslim community of doing. Now our community is a speck of dust in front of this colossal cadre-based organisation with thousands of branches and millions of people. We will never fully know what happens inside it. So when a non-Muslim man slides into a Muslim woman’s DMs, flirts, or shows interest in learning about Islam in private, we will never know where that interest is really coming from or what the intention is. Just like the media narrative, this too is largely beyond our reach.

Here is another incident where people in a train made vulgar hand signs at a Muslim woman and she ignored it because she was never taught to fight for her own honour:

https://x.com/MR_COOL77777/status/2112213101047431239

So what can we do? In short: CONTROLING PEOPLE MAKES THEM REBEL instead MAKE THEM UNDERSTAND THEIR RESPONSIBILTY

We need to create a generation of strong highly educated Muslim women, and charity starts at home. First, we Muslim men need to stop treating our women as subordinates or as incapable beings who need to be remote-controlled by us. In Islam, Muslim men are called the protectors of women and it is their farz to protect them. But understand this: it is primarily about physical protection. We are in an era of psychological warfare and Mental and moral strength is something that must be taught.

We are in 2026. If you are not her brother or father and you try to lecture a Muslim woman on her faith or behaviour, you will be humiliated — and rightly so. You are not some farishta sent by Allah to remote-control her. This is where a strong Muslim woman comes in. Use biology. A women trust women more in these kind of conversation. A strong Muslim woman can not only guide her but also make her strong enough to spread the message herself. A strong, well-educated Muslim woman who also has good ilm of Islam will raise a good family and create the next generation of independent women.

So our motto should be "Make muslim women highly educated, employed, independent and brave so that she can fight for her right in case of discrimination and injustice"

Muslim men should stop thinking that it is only duty of them to protect islam and remote control their women in doing so. Allah has not discriminated among men and women and they are complementry to each other. Both men and women have duty to uphold islamic values. So teach them instead of controlling them. The question of whether to wear hijab or not or any islamic practice for women is totally upto the women to decide as they are also answerable to Allah. Muslim men shouldn't act as intermediary in womens affair and should fullfill his own responsibily which allah asked him to do

It is high time we educate our women at home, and that strong Muslim women guide other Muslim women toward the right path while keeping modern education and jobs. I want a generation of Muslim women who might not wear the hijab or might go to parties and still upholds core islamic values — instead of hijabi women who end up in haram relationship. Not getting into Haram relationship applies to men as well

AND MUSLIM MEN SHOULD LEAVE THEIR HYPOCRICY. SHE CAN BE AS ISLAMIC AS YOU ARE AND YOU DONT EXPECT YOUR WOMEN TO BECOME RELIGIOUS SAINT WHILE YOU GO DOING UNISLAMIC HARAM THINGS. ALLAH IS NOT A GOD OF MEN, IT IS GOD OF HUMANITY AND WOMEN DO HAVE SAME RESPONSIBILY AS YOU IN UPHOLDING ISLAMIC VALUE

Religious Heart knows what’s right but stubborn

Excerpt from Ibrahim Dewla’s speeches and notes.

If someone is stubborn, Allah will make them unsuccessful.

Pharaoh, Abu Jahl and Abu Lahab were unsuccessful because they were stubborn.

The truth was clear, but they persisted in their opposition. Abu Jahl’s opposition was so intense that it caused hardship and distress for the Prophet (saw).

When Abu Jahal was killed, the Prophet (saw) praised Allah and expressed his gratitude.

Imagine how great a burden this must have been for the Prophet (saw).

Allah says:
“And they rejected them out of injustice and arrogance, though their inner hearts believed them to be true.”
(27:14)

In their hearts, they know what is right, but they do not want to follow it; they want things their own way.

So, Allah will cause those who persist in stubbornness to fail.

But whoever abandons their stubbornness and submits will be granted success.
