Yogurt Substitutes

Nutty Chicken Rice…. Full recipe mentioned in description #trending #chicken #rice #nutty

I don't always have yogurt or cilantro around and was wondering if there is a good substitute in this recipe and if not, what if I just.....left it out? I often have green onions though.

Both are easy to swap. For yogurt, use sour cream or a bit of mayo thinned with a splash of milk and a squeeze of lemon, you mostly want the tang and a bit of fat for the marinade. Cilantro is mostly a garnish here, so green onion tops work fine, or just skip it. If you leave the yogurt out entirely, add a little lemon juice or vinegar so the chicken doesn't taste flat.
