Hi everyone,
I'm the developer behind OptScalp (https://optscalp.com), a desktop options trading platform I've been building for Indian traders.
I've recently released a major upgrade with a completely redesigned interface, improved market-data experience, and three different ways to trade options.
Sharing it here for anyone who might find it useful. Mods, please feel free to remove this if it violates the community's self-promotion rules.
The problem
If you actively trade NIFTY, BANKNIFTY or SENSEX options, you'll probably relate to some of these challenges:
- Switching between charts, option chains and order-entry windows.
- Placing or adjusting multiple option legs quickly.
- Managing stop-losses, targets and open positions across trades.
- Monitoring positions and overall MTM while making trading decisions.
- Working around limitations of broker-provided trading interfaces.
I wanted a desktop application that brings these workflows together without forcing traders into one particular way of trading.
What OptScalp does
OptScalp is a desktop-based trading platform that connects to supported brokers and provides three different trading interfaces.
1. Quick Order
A dedicated order-entry workspace for traders who prefer fast, straightforward execution.
- Trade CE/PE options using ATM, ITM and OTM strike selection.
- Configure quantities, order types and automatic stop-loss controls.
- Create straddles, strangles and hedge positions.
- Monitor and manage positions from the same workspace.
2. Option Chain Trading (Scalper)
For traders who prefer making decisions directly from the option chain.
- View option prices, open interest (OI) and implied volatility (IV).
- Switch between indices and expiries.
- Place Buy/Sell orders directly against individual strikes.
- Quickly navigate strikes around ATM.
3. Chart Trading
This is one of the major additions in the latest release.
- View option price charts within OptScalp.
- Work with multiple charts in the same workspace.
- Place trades directly from chart controls.
- Manage stop-loss and target levels visually.
The idea is simple: choose how you want to trade without switching between multiple applications.
Position & Risk Management
Beyond order entry, OptScalp includes:
- Stop-loss, target and trailing stop-loss controls.
- Position monitoring with MTM/P&L.
- Partial exits and position management.
- Portfolio/session-level risk controls.
- Support for multi-leg option positions.
These are execution and risk-management tools, not trading signals or automated profit-generating strategies.
Broker Integrations
OptScalp supports integrations with brokers and APIs including:
Zerodha, Flattrade, Shoonya (Finvasia), RMoney, AC Agarwal and XTS-based APIs.
Supported features may vary depending on the broker and its API capabilities.
Try It Without Placing Live Orders
OptScalp also includes a Simulation Mode, allowing users to explore the trading interface and experiment with order workflows without sending live orders.
This is particularly useful if you want to understand the application before using it with real capital.
Pricing & Availability
OptScalp is available through its official website, where you can find the current plans, installation instructions and product details.

Looking for Feedback
I'm continuing to improve OptScalp, particularly around chart trading, option-chain workflows, execution efficiency and position management.
I'd genuinely appreciate feedback from active options traders.
If you could improve one thing about your current broker terminal or options trading workflow, what would it be?
Happy to answer questions about the platform, broker integrations or supported features.
Disclosure: I'm the developer of OptScalp. OptScalp is a software platform for trade execution and management, not an investment advisory or trading-signal service. Trading in derivatives involves substantial financial risk. Users are responsible for their own trading decisions and compliance with applicable broker and exchange requirements.
