Artist Needed [RevShare] or [milestone payment] Established team with live playable prototype Looking for pixel artist for darker theme colony sim inspired by games like Dwarf Fortress, RimWorld, Gnomoria, and Mountaincore.

Hello INAT!

We are looking for a pixel artist to join us on Mountania, a dwarf colony sim inspired by games like Dwarf Fortress, RimWorld, Gnomoria, and Mountaincore.

We already have an established team and a working prototype currently in open playtesting.

We’re looking for an artist who can create both game sprites and UI and help bring everything together into a cohesive art style. We want someone who can help establish the visual direction of the game, not just create individual assets.

We want Mountania to have it's own identity but, Heroes of Hammerwatch II is a reference.

Rev-share is 25% of all net income including any crowdfunding, donations, or merch. The details of how revenue is calculated and paid will be outlined in detail and signed in an official contract before work begins. If you would rather submit bids for milestone payments instead, that is also open to discussion. The main focus would first be UI, then game sprites.

If you’re interested, please comment below or DM me a portfolio/any other info, but you MUST leave any comment bellow even if it's literally just saying hi.

PR/Marketing needed [revshare] MARKETING SPECIALIST - Takedown 16, huge opportunity

Hello! My name is Robert and I operate No More Microtransactions studios and we're looking for the last puzzle piece to our studio - a marketing specialist. I'm sure this job entails you being good at the following (although this isn't my specialty, I've just been FORCED to do marketing myself and I hate it...)

- understanding our niche
- making videos
- taking over all socials and/or making an entirely new brand identity for takedown 16
- you take the lead, I'll believe in whatever you think is best

I can't keep doing the marketing myself, its time to delegate this to someone else with proven experience and wants a shot at staying in game dev space forever (if this game hits we're all in game dev for a good bit, the next game were selling out on some mutliplayer slop, so maybe hopefully forever. thats the goal.)

I have a full studio, sound engineer, programmer, I do 80% of the visual stuff, pixel artist, animator writer blah blah.

We need someone whos dedicated, and wants to grow and has a passion and can see our vision.

Some REALLY GOOD bonus' to consider -

- Just got sponsored by cascaduer (animation software)
- have now collaborated with our 3rd content creator and this one has 950k subscribers on youtube alone
- our animator is from zenimax! (8 years experience, elder scrolls online)

Heres the link below

lets make something HUGE that'll last and will allow us to be in game dev space for the rest of our lives.

Thanks for giving this a read.

BEST,
Robert

Team Needed [hobby][revshare] Looking for Assistance

• Upvotes

Hi all!

I've been lurking for a little while on here and reading posts and have finally decided to post my own "looking for Team" post.

About the Game and my Background:

I have over 20 year experience in art, mainly traditional styles like watercolor and ink, but also in writing, acting, and music. To be fair, the experience started when I was like, 12. Anyway, I've spent the last 4 years working hard on learning the game development world, working in small teams for game jams, and taking notes so I can apply them to my own project. I have done a lot of research and know that I am under qualified to call myself a solo-dev, so that's where I started looking into how to build a team of people. I refuse to be just an ideas-man, so have compiled the last four years into a series of documents as a starting point for the game.

Setting: The setting is a dark fantasy (think post apocalyptic "punk" and less gore and horror) world with a variety of fantasy species that can be played. I wanted to mix up the way fantasy species were seen, so there are quite a few non-traditional views/takes on species like the Orcs, Goblins, Dwarves, and Kobolds. I have developed a static world map (no map generation like some of the more popular games) that has quite a bit of content spread across it. The goal is exploration and survival, and the overarching quest is to save magic before the world dies.

Team Needs:

  • At least two programmers (honestly, probably more)
    • One to be Lead (preferably with some experience in GameDev, but not required)
    • One back-up programmer (any level experience)
  • 3D Character Designer (must be comfortable with fantasy/toonish styles and mid-range poly)
  • 3D inanimate objects (weapons, furnishings, rocks, trees)
  • Sound/Music
  • Voice Acting

What I have:

A ton of background work such as item lists, world building, history, npc lists, regions, and more. I have organization of topics, a clear goal, and solid timeline.

I also plan to continue working in the arts side including UI design, texturing, Fonts, and writing. I plan also to continue learning and growing in every area I can, including additional voice acting and programming.

What else I bring: a degree in business, financial support for the game, marketing, and launch.

Other Points/Compensation

This is set up as a revshare/hobby project. I don't *expect* it to make money, but if it does, the rev share is based on contribution and tracked via milestones reached.

Please comment below if you have questions or the best method for me to reach out to you. I am not online constantly, but will check in consistently as often as I can. Feel free to also DM me

Artist Needed [Hobby] Looking for 3D, character and animation artists

Hey everyone,

I’m building a horror game in Unreal Engine with some friends, and we’re looking for 3D, character and animation artists to join us.

I’ll be upfront: this is an unpaid passion project right now. There’s no budget, and I’m not going to pretend otherwise. If the game earns money down the line, everyone who contributed will get a share based on what they put in.

You’d get full credit, and you can use everything you make in your portfolio.

Drop me a DM or comment below. Even if you’re not sure, just message me. Happy to share more about the game and what we’re aiming for.

Artist Needed [RevShare] Pixel artist for a dark medieval topdown game

• Upvotes

I'm looking for a dedicated and talented pixel artist to build my next game with.

We will be making a medieval (real world, low fantasy) game with a similar visual flair to early pokemon games, where you live in a small open world as a commoner. Think somewhat stardew meets living in medieval times with gameboy rpg visual style.

You can see my previous gamejam work at https://pirhanalab.itch.io/

I also am currently working on my first commercial project. This one would be my second.

If that interests you, send me a dm. Pleasure to talk.

Team Needed [HOBBY] Recruiting UE5 Programmers & 3D Artists | UNUTTERABLE — Victorian Eldritch Action RPG

• Upvotes

Hi everyone!

I'm Sebastian, a concept artist and the creator of UNUTTERABLE, a third-person action RPG currently in development in Unreal Engine 5. We're looking to bring some new people onto the team, particularly gameplay programmers and 3D artists, as we move further into production.

A little about the game

UNUTTERABLE is a narrative-driven action RPG set in a dark, Victorian-inspired fantasy world. Occult practices, eldritch forces and supernatural phenomena are woven into its society, and much of the story explores what happens when people begin meddling with things they don't entirely understand.

You play as a wounded soldier returning to your home city, uncovering its mysteries and confronting its dangers through a mixture of investigation, exploration and magic.

One of our main priorities is making the spellcasting feel genuinely good to play. We want magic to feel powerful, responsive and varied, with enough depth that experimenting with different spells and approaches is rewarding. Alongside that, we're developing a world with its own history, characters and conflicts, where the narrative and gameplay feel like parts of the same experience.

www.unspokenworlds.com

Where we are

This isn't a project we're just beginning to conceptualise. We've already spent considerable time on the game's world, visual identity and design, with an established body of concept art and development underway in UE5. A lot of our core mechanics and systems are in place, it's now about refinement!

I'm a concept artist by background, and a good deal of my work has gone into creating the characters, environments and overall look of the game. We're now looking to expand the team so we can push the gameplay and 3D production up a gear.

There's still plenty left to build, and that's part of why we're recruiting now. We'd like to find people who are interested in getting involved while there's still room to make a meaningful impact on the game.

Who we're looking for

Gameplay Programmers / UE5 Developers

We're particularly interested in developers comfortable working with C++ and/or Blueprints. Our immediate priorities include:

  • Spellcasting and combat system refinment
  • Enemy AI, combat encounters and behaviours
  • Character movement and animation integration
  • Interaction, investigation and general gameplay systems

If you've worked with GAS, combat systems or third-person action games before, we'd be especially keen to hear from you. Equally, if you have a strong background in another area of UE5 development, we'd be happy to talk.

3D Artists

We're also looking for artists interested in helping us bring the world into Unreal, particularly:

  • Character and creature artists
  • Environment artists
  • Hard-surface and prop artists
  • Artists experienced in texturing, materials and game-ready asset production
  • Level builders
  • VFX artists

There's a substantial amount of concept work already available to draw from, so you won't be starting from nothing. We'd also love to work with artists who enjoy contributing their own ideas and helping develop the visual identity of a project, rather than simply reproducing designs.

What it's like working with us

First, the important bit: this is currently an unpaid, hobby-based collaboration.

We're a small team developing UNUTTERABLE around our existing work and commitments. There are no fixed working hours, and we're not expecting anyone to dedicate every spare evening to the project.

What we are looking for is people who are genuinely interested in making games, enjoy working with others and would like to contribute to something with a longer-term direction.

We want this to be a worthwhile experience for everyone involved. That means having a say in the work you're doing, being credited for your contributions and having the opportunity to develop substantial pieces for your portfolio.

We're happy to hear from experienced professionals, graduates and self-taught developers alike. You don't need an industry CV, but we'd like to see evidence of your abilities, whether that's a released game, a university project, a game jam, or something you've been developing independently.

More than anything, we're looking for people who enjoy what they do and want to make something good together.

Getting in touch

If UNUTTERABLE sounds like a project you'd be interested in, please send me a DM, leave a comment or email [recruitment@unspokenworlds.com](mailto:recruitment@unspokenworlds.com)

Let me know what you do, what sort of work interests you and, ideally, share a portfolio, GitHub or examples of previous projects.

I'm very happy to share more about the game, show you our existing artwork and development, and talk through where you might fit into the team.

We're keen to find a few good people who want to help shape UNUTTERABLE as it grows, so if Victorian fantasy, strange magic and eldritch horror sound like your sort of thing, I'd love to hear from you.

Thanks for reading!

Artist Needed [RevShare] Looking for a long term partner

Hello Talented People,

I'm Ore, 19m UK. I'm currently a student studying computer science so I'm comfortable with the technical side of game development. However art is my achilles heel. I'm looking for a 2D artist with free time to work on a hobby project with.

The project is called Clash Of Olympus and is Greek mythology themed. It's heavily inspired by Multiplayer Online Battle Arenas like league of legends and DOTA 2 as well as Real time strategies like hearthstone, magic the gathering and clash royale.

The game is at a stage where all it needs is some art love and it'll be demo ready. It has all of it's core mechanics finished. It's fully multiplayer and built in a modular way so features can easily be changed remove or added.

This is a link to a simple design document of the game - design document

This is a link which shows what the game currently looks like - demo match

I've created a detailed asset and art document which I can share on request. I'm hoping we can improve it together as I'm not an artist myself. I hope it'll give you a realistic idea on how much there is to do.

I'm also trying to build a social media following and community for the game.

You can message me here or on my discord @oreiy

Thank you for your time, I hope to collaborate with you 💖

Programmers Needed [Hobby] [Collaboration / Equity] Looking for a technical partner to build an indie mobile game together 🎲

Hey everyone!

I’m an early-stage founder working on Diceverse, a mobile gaming concept in the competitive dice-game space.

Over the past months, I’ve developed the product vision, gameplay direction, business concept, visual identity, and initial prototypes. I’ve also been speaking with game development studios and exploring different ways to bring the project to market.

Originally, the plan was to raise funding for a larger professional development and launch.

But recently, I’ve been considering a different approach:

What if we build a much smaller, focused first version ourselves, release it, learn from real players, and use that experience to grow the project?

I’m now looking to connect with a developer or technically experienced builder who might be interested in exploring this together.

I’m the Founder/CPO, so I’d take responsibility for product direction, UX, research, creative work, business development, and investor outreach. I’m also actively working with AI-assisted development tools and happy to contribute hands-on wherever possible.

Ideally, you’d enjoy building games or mobile apps, be comfortable taking technical ownership, and have an entrepreneurial mindset.

A few things upfront:
This is an early-stage collaboration opportunity, not a salaried job.

I’m open to discussing a meaningful equity-based partnership if there’s a strong mutual fit.

The initial goal would be a focused, releasable mobile game - not the entire long-term platform.

We’d explore technical feasibility, responsibilities, and realistic commitments together before deciding anything.

The longer-term ambition is to build traction, develop the product further, and pursue investment or strategic partnerships.

I’m not expecting anyone to commit based on a Reddit post. I’d simply love to meet like-minded people, exchange ideas, and see whether there’s potential to build something together.

If this sounds interesting, feel free to comment or send me a DM.
Cheers!

Team Needed [RevShare] I Helped Market a Game to 350,000+ Steam Wishlists And Now I’m Looking for Co-Founders to Build Our Very Own Indie Studio.

Hey everyone!

I have 3.5 years of experience in game publishing, including contributing to a horror FPS that reached 350,000+ Steam wishlists / Top 0.03% on Steam as part of a three-person publishing team. The game also secured multimillion-dollar funding after organically reaching around 200,000 wishlists.

I left the studio last year, and this year I've mostly been freelancing in self-publishing part-time while working something else IRL.

I have a strong understanding of how the Steam algorithm works and experience across pretty much everything that goes into self-publishing a video game: wishlist growth, community building, PR, influencer outreach, content creation, strategy, and growth hacks.

I also learned how to create trailers, cinematics, and devlogs using Level Sequencer in Unreal Engine 5 and DaVinci Resolve, alongside a little bit of development, so I can be as useful as possible within an indie team.

For this start-up, I'm mainly interested in people with existing industry experience in areas such as 3D art, animation, level design, technical art, or game design. (Realistic Artstyle)

The mindset I'm looking for is open-minded and experimental, people willing to focus on what actually works rather than becoming overly attached to a single idea.

You may have noticed that programming isn't on that list. That's because the studio would work a little differently from a traditional indie studio. From the very beginning, we'd be publishing and market-validation focused.

That said, if you're a programmer who has experience and is genuinely passionate about the idea and wants to participate, I'd still love to talk.

The goal is simple: Commit heavily and go full-time once we know we have something with real potential. I don't want to waste anyones time working on a video game for years without making sure the hard work will be rewarded.

Let's talk about RevShare, everyone involved would have an equal share, while initially retaining ownership of the work they create. Once we have a project with strong enough validation, the plan would be to formally establish a company in whichever region makes the most sense for the potential investors, go full-time and hire the team we need to finish the game and expand. As mentioned above, already have the experience in growing a game to such stage that attracts investors.

To be part of this, you'd need to commit around 2.5 hours a day, 5 days per week, on days of your choosing. We'd just need one shared day each week for a team catch-up, progress updates, and planning.

Feel free to DM me here on reddit, on my LinkedIn or on my discord: "bobthebingus". I prefer discord simply because we need to have a video call at some point.

P.S. Here's a picture of me at Gamescom with some fans of the game I worked on! I hid their faces just in case since i didn't get their permission to post em here.

Writer Needed [Hobby] Need a writter, please no ChatGPT, 6dof Space Sim heavy stiry driven.

Hey good people, won't be using AI to fix my writting so I applogize in advance for typos or bad sentences.

I am developing (more than 2000h) 6dof first person space combat and flight sim.

I have the story thought out, and I love it. I am slowly going for Demo - in January and would love to have some help for first 10 quests or so. Tutorial missions and then couple of basic quest introducing player to story.

The story is about space setlers, after we found jump gate in our solar system in 2036 built by watchers, we spread trough the universe, exploring, mining, hauling resources back to earth. But couple of decades later jump gate network just shut down without warning, leaving the explorers wherever they were at that moment and without possibility to return home. So some adapted and survived, while other perished. Alex was born in space station far away from earth, just one of Irish miners, hard workers. Accidentally he finds a way to unlock first gate, and his journey to earth starts, fighting Watchers who separated us to attack the earth and trying to unite the humans in solar systems he visit on his way towards the earth, unlocking gates one by one.

There is much more to story, this was in short.

So if someone like space, good story and have discord, wish to talk, please let me know.

3d designer, level designer, vfx or sfx guys are also welcome.

Team Needed [RevShare] Two creators looking for an editor to join our team

Hey everyone,

My friend and I live in Switzerland and run a YouTube channel where we film vlogging/exploring videos, documentary videos, and outdoor "podcast" talks about everyday life around the country.

Lately we've been filming way more than we have time to edit. We already have several full videos shot and ready to go, we just can't keep up with all the editing ourselves next to our daily jobs and routines.

We're not a company and we aren't looking to hire a random freelancer. We want to find a reliable third friend and equal partner to jump into this project with us as part of the team. With us, everything is pretty much friendly and chill...we hang out a lot, talk on calls, and spend hours discussing YouTube videos ideas, thumbnails, and everything around building the channel.

Since the channel isn't monetized yet (we're at around 2.6k subscribers on YouTube and 11k on Instagram), we are not making money right now. We're looking for someone who's ready to jump in without upfront pay, grow this together with us as a team, and split everything fairly once it starts bringing in.

If you're already into YouTube, have some solid experience editing in Premiere Pro, and want to be part of our crew, send us a DM. Mention your favorite YouTuber in the first sentence so we know you actually read this. 😄

Channel is https://www.youtube.com/@SwissMomentsOfficial if anybody is interested.

Artist Needed [Hobby] Looking for artists (AS2 Club Penguin style) and a few devs for a fan-made CPPS

About the project
I’m building a Club Penguin Private Server (CPPS) using the classic AS2 client, the original Flash-era Club Penguin look and feel. The backend is already up and running and is pretty stable. What I need now is people to help bring the world to life with new content.

What I’m looking for

Artists (main need):

  • Party art: room decorations, themed rooms, and party layouts
  • Clothing and outfits: new items in the classic paper-doll style
  • Custom mascots: original characters who show up at parties
  • Other assets like furniture, pins, backgrounds, and catalog pages

You should be comfortable matching the original AS2-era Club Penguin art style. Experience with vector art, Adobe Animate/Flash, or SWF editing is a big plus.

Developers (a few):

  • ActionScript 2 / Flash client work
  • Server-side help ([your server language/emulator, e.g. Python/Node])
  • General help with features, bug fixes, and getting new content into the game

Content Creator :

  • Create, manage, and post engaging short-form content (Reels and TikTok) to help grow the server’s community, like party previews, new item reveals, behind-the-scenes clips, and gameplay highlights

What I bring

  • A working, stable server already in place
  • I handle the backend and hosting/costs.]
  • A small close team who is motivated to grow this

Compensation
This is a volunteer project. It’s a fan-made server, so it can’t be monetized, and nobody (including me) will be paid. You’ll get full credit for your work and the fun of helping build a CPPS from the ground up.

Interested?
Comment or DM me with:

  • What role you’re interested in
  • A few examples of your work, or a portfolio link
  • How much time you can realistically give

Artist Needed [Hobby] Looking for 2D-Pixel Artist JRPG

Hello, I'm looking for a 2d-pixel artist for a jrpg game I am making. I mostly need help with environments and menu art. I don't know if it will be paid or not, I haven't decided yet. I will pay if I do make money from anything involving this game.

A little about my game: my game is a jrpg where you have a universal remote that can control the world around you. The setting is a small town where people go missing and its up to you and your pals to stop this from happening. It has elements of the psychological horror genre mixed with a bit of puzzle based challenges that use the remote. You and your friends go from liminal space to liminal space collecting remote buttons to hopeful stop people from succumbing to these weird worlds. Every world has there own unique rules that are centered around the remote button residing in its depths.

I don't really have any other published works but I have made some personal projects in Godot. I really need help with my game.

  5. Voice Actors (both male, bc mod will have two male characters...and also one VA will be for a pug that will make pug sounds in dialogues, you can use real pug if you have one)

About the engine...idk, I don't really know much about engines, so either it will be V Slice, or Code Name Engine or either Psych Engine (・o・)

Team Needed [Hobby] Seeking a team to create a possible future studio. Working on two new projects. METALCELL and Warcrown Chronicles

Hello everyone my name is Jay, im 20 years and im young artist aspiring to make a legacy in the entertainment industry entertainment! I'm looking to connect with creative people who shares a passion for developting original projects across all genres including sci fi, robots, dark fantasy and worldbuilding.

First things first, Id like to explain my goals, int introduce my two projects and what im currently doing, so we can get straight to the point!

So whats my goal here?

My goal is to establish a small work and officially public it so that I can have a good portfolio growth and start something awesome like a studio.

I want these projects to shine and create opportunities for artists, writers and world builders to collaborate, improve their skills, built their experience, portfolio and create a legacy, potentially leading to creation of a strong and entertaining studio where we can continue developing our ideas and bring our creative visions to life.

What are my projects?

My two projects are called METALCELL and Warcrown. These are two seperate franchises that focus on similar genres, Sci fi, drama, adventure, dark fantasy, space opera, grimdark. METALCELL includes robots from outerspace fighting wars much like transformers and Warcrown will be a sci fi, dark fantasy, space opera. Those two designs are early sketches of the chatacters and not official final versions.

Whats the payment right now?

At the moment there is no payment plan, these are unpaid hobby projects. However revenue sharing may become a possibility in the future if we together managed to sucessfully create a studio, generate revenue, and have the financial resoruces to compensate everyone. Any future payments or rev-sharing arrangements would need to be discussed and agreed upon.

What is my focus roght now?

Right now, my main focus is bringing together people who wants to help something original, establishing these two projects and other concepts, keep developing them, and then publish them so they can shine into the public. With enough creativity, teamwork, and dedication, we can explore their potential and possibly turn them into something bigger in the future.

What I cannot allow and accept.

I want to create in a safe and hardworking environment where people get admired for their dedication and creativity, that being said I cannot allow some content like AI. I also mention safe, I want to work with people who are honest and trustworthy, we work very hard to sustain ourselves, so try your best to focus on bringing on the table and feel free to give suggestions or ideas on how to make a very great team.l together.

So whether you're beginner or experienced creator, i'd love to connect with people who share these interests and want to participate to help them out in their position. Im also looking for people who are far more experience than me, like business partners. However, I'll gladly accept any help anyone offers.

Feel fre to ask any questions here. DM me for Discord

Artist Needed [Hobby] Seeking Artists & Animators Interested in an Original Adult 2D Animated Western

Hey everyone!

I'm an independent creator developing an original adult 2D animated Western series called The Wilder West.

The project is set in an alternate nineteenth-century American West where prehistoric wildlife never went extinct, and human civilization developed alongside these animals.

It's a historically grounded, character-driven Western combining frontier adventure, drama, dark humor, and natural-history storytelling.

Visually, I'm aiming for a cinematic, handcrafted 2D animation style inspired by classical Western paintings, historical illustrations, and traditional paleoart, with naturalistic character and animal movement.

I've spent considerable time developing the project's world, characters, narrative direction, and overall visual identity. However, I'm not an animator or professional producer, and I'm currently working independently without secured funding.

Right now, I'm primarily looking to connect with 2D artists, character designers, background artists, storyboard artists, and animators who might find the concept interesting.

My immediate goal is to explore the possibility of developing some initial concept artwork and visual materials, with the longer-term ambition of pursuing crowdfunding and eventually producing an animated proof of concept.

This isn't a funded job offer or a request for substantial unpaid production work. I'm simply testing interest, looking for advice, and hoping to connect with potential collaborators.

If this sounds interesting, feel free to comment or send me a message. I'd be happy to discuss the project further!

Thanks for reading!
