Addition or cancelation to the already announced schedule 🔜

Did anyone catch the Indycar drivers as sports events this week?? Pato was at the Cowboys game, Schumacher at the Jazz game, and JoNew at the Brewers-Rays World Series game tonight! I wonder if Fox is going to have drivers at other sporting events to put them into normal sports fan view in the offseason??

I have added Indy Cars to my Oval game(yes ai has been used to help make a game I've always wanted to create), its totally free to play with ranked matchmaking, private lobbies with friends, career mode and more!

Maybe all those years of trying and failing to secure a race outside North America weren't entirely IndyCar's fault after all!

Maybe...

I have a buddy who is on the board of the NJ motorsports park and he told me indycar reached out for discussing potential 2028 or 2029 race there. Mentioned they discussed even funding track improvements to make it possible.

Obviously it’s just testing but Nikita has raced on barber, Dunne has not. Possibly another example of the IndyNXT series not being that great. Also 3.5 tenths is a lot. That’s the difference between Pato O’Ward and Nolan Siegel on average in qualifying

Also the current Spanish broadcaster's rights are expired, maybe this will tempt a bigger channel into showing Indycar.

The season finale in St. Pete perfectly summarizes 2020...

I can't say I remember a huge amount other than the crashes, Marco got junked in his final outing as a full-time Indycar driver, Rossi crashed from a good position, and Hinch spun under caution in the last corner while in the top 5, only to completely take out Jack Harvey when rejoining the track, ruining both of their days.

It was a good day for Team Penske, Josef Newgarden won his 4th race of the year, although it wasn't enough to win his 3rd Indycar Series Championship, Scott Mclaughlin also made his Indycar debut in this race.

One other thing I do remember as I type, Sébastien Bourdais almost dragged a Foyt shitbox to a podium, finishing P4.

Maybe the proper form is kerblammo?

Does anyone have any insight on whether a book - said to have been at one point tentatively titled "The Rise and Fall of Big-Time Auto Racing in America" - is still being worked on by Gordon Kirby?

He was said to have been working on this with Joe Freeman (of the now, I believe, defunct Racemaker Press).

The book was to be, by my understanding, an attempt at a comprehensive look at the history of American championship auto racing.

This would be great to have - nothing even close exists, to my knowledge - but also, surely, a daunting task (especially for the turn of the century up to WW2, where record keeping was, at best, spotty and, at worst, nearly non existent).

Can he legit still get one this year, I thought he was out with a chance to get one due to poor F2 results this year? https://racer.com/2026/10/26/herta-still-in-with-a-shot-of-cadillac-race-seat-as-bottas-pace-comes-into-question
