My wife and I dream about the egg rolls at Cali Sandwich, and have never encountered anything like them at any other restaurants. However, we don’t live near midtown, and sometimes dining in at Cali can be dicey, depending on how…odiferous the bathrooms/grease traps are that day. Are there any other good Vietnamese restaurants in the Houston area with the same type of egg rolls? Extra points if it’s a slightly nicer place you can take an out of town guest for dinner. Even more extra points if it’s on the west/southwest side.

I was wondering if anyone knew of a place serving this dish, or something approximating it. Maybe not 100% authentic, but close enough to get an idea of what it tastes like. Video for clarity.
